Before painting the tiles it is essential to leave the surface clean and free of grease (especially in the kitchen). Otherwise, the paint will not adhere well to the surface. To clean it, it is simply necessary to use water and neutral soap and to clean it with a scouring pad. For a more thorough cleaning, we recommend our exclusive Smart Cleaner.

If there is any silicone residue, it must be removed. Special attention should be paid to the seals, which should also be kept very clean. If the surface has open joints, it is advisable to go over them with our Smart Jointer 0-2 mm flashing to ensure that there are no imperfections.

But keep in mind that Smartcover has not been created to remove the tile, but to improve it. Therefore, the joints must remain joints.

Once this is done, just dry well and start painting.

Generally, the most common areas where tile paint is applied are bathrooms and kitchens, but anywhere there is tile, it can be painted. The only prerequisite for the product to adhere well is that the surface must be clean and free of grease.
