Each product has a purpose: guiding you from the very first smoothing step to the final touch that seals the colour and protects your microcement kitchen floor against anything. Open the box and get started—what you have in front of you is the beginning of your new kitchen.
Inside the box, you’ll find:
- 1 × Smart Jointer (1.5 Kg) – Fills and levels grout lines to create a smooth base.
- 1 × Smart Primer PLUS (1 L) – Primer for maximum adhesion on non-absorbent surfaces.
- 1 × Smart Base (16 Kg) – Base microcement.
- 1 × Smart Medio (8 kg) – Finishing microcement.
- 1 × Smart Varnish (2 L) – Water-based varnish, matte or satin, that protects against moisture, stains, and wear.
- 1 × Smart Booster (100 g) – Enhances the chemical resistance of the varnish.
- 6 × 40-grit sandpapers – For initial sanding of Smart Jointer and Smart Base.
- 10 × 80-grit sandpapers – For smoothing between coats of Smart Medio.
- 6 × 400-grit sandpapers – For the perfect finish between varnish coats.

Application
How to apply the 8 m² microcement kit for non-absorbent kitchen floors
In just a few layers and with your own hands, your kitchen floor will go from having grout lines to boasting a continuous, resistant, and easy-to-clean surface. Here’s your step-by-step route to get it done:
1. Fill and smooth
Clean the floor thoroughly to remove any grease, dust, or food residue. Make sure it’s dry. Use Smart Jointer to fill the grout lines until they’re level. Let dry for 24 h, sand with 40-grit sandpaper, and get the base ready for what’s next.
2. Prepare the surface
With a roller, apply an even coat of Smart Primer PLUS. This ensures the microcement bonds perfectly to tiles, marble, or terrazzo. Let dry for 30 min.
3. Create the strong base
Stir Smart Base well and apply two thin coats (less than 1 mm each). Use Smart Roller and a trowel at a 45° angle, sanding with 40-grit between coats and allowing 6 h to dry. This is where the transformation begins.
4. Apply the finish that makes the difference
Apply two thin coats (less than 0.5 mm each) of Smart Medio, using the same technique as before and sanding with 80-grit between coats. The result: a smooth, continuous floor with personality.
5. Seal and protect
Mix Smart Varnish with Smart Booster and apply 3 coats. Between the first and second coat, lightly sand with 400-grit. Allow 4 h drying time between coats and, after 7 days of curing, your microcement kitchen floor will be ready for anything.
💡 Smartcret tip: Keep the trowel at a 45° angle, apply thin layers, and skip the electric sander—this project calls for a hand-finished look.
