Super Microcement Kit for Kitchens, Bathrooms and Showers Content - Covers 16 m² of Non-Absorbent Surfaces

The Super Microcement Kit for kitchens, bathrooms and showers is perfect for covering 16 m² of non-absorbent surfaces, providing all the necessary tools for an effortless renovation. You can easily transform your space without messy material removal, and no prior experience is needed.

These premium products deliver a professional finish on a variety of interior surfaces, including tiles, mosaic, marble, terrazzo, and others.

This Super Microcement Kit for kitchens, bathrooms and showers, made for 16 m² of non-absorbent surfaces, includes:

  • 2 Smart Jointer 1.5 kg: Tile grout joint filler. It's a high-adhesion, quick-drying filler used to smooth the surface before applying Smartcret's ready-to-use microcement. Resistant to water and ambient humidity.
  • 2 Smart Primer PLUS 1 L: Water-based acrylic primer used to enhance adhesion of Smartcret microcement on non-absorbent surfaces.
  • 4 Smart Base 8 kg: Preparatory ready-to-use microcement. This pigmented product with larger granules is applied to the base surface to ensure its consistency. It doesn't provide the final finish.
  • 2 Smart Liso 6 kg: Finishing ready-to-use microcement. This pigmented product, applied after Smart Base, has a finer granule size and is responsible for providing the uniform, smooth, and soft aesthetics of the microcement.
  • 2 Smart Varnish 2 L: Ready-to-use water-based polyurethane varnish. It seals and protects the microcement from external agents such as abrasion or water damage. It enhances the color of the new coating and is available in matte and satin finishes.
  • 4 Smart Booster 50 g: Component B added to the varnish for enhanced protection against chemical agents, increased hardness, and resistance to abrasion.
  • Sanding discs: Sandpapers with different grains for sanding the various layers of the products included in this Super Kit. You'll find ten 40-grit sandpapers, twenty 220-grit sandpapers, and ten 400-grit sandpapers.

Please note that Smartcret offers a separate toolkit for applying microcement, which is not included in this ready-to-use Super Microcement Kit for kitchens, bathrooms and showers but is necessary for correctly applying the products. These tools include rollers, a tray, protective masking tape, and a polycarbonate trowel.

Do you want to apply the Super Kit of Microcement to your countertop? Perfect! Our microcement is ideal for bathrooms thanks to its water resistance (no standing water) and resistance to ambient humidity. For kitchens, we do not guarantee it, but if you want to try it, follow these tips:

  1. Protect the surface from heat. Placing very hot containers directly on the countertop could damage it. Always use a board or placemat, just like you would with any delicate countertop.
  2. Do not cut food directly on the microcement, as this could cause stains and ruin its finish. Always use a cutting board.
  3. Be careful with stains. Do not leave oil or vinegar stains for too long. Protect the surface for up to 8 hours with Smart Varnish and Smart Booster, which provide chemical resistance (see table in the technical data sheet), and clean the countertop with Smart Cleaner to keep it in perfect condition.

Application of Super Microcement Kit for Kitchens, Bathrooms and Showers - Covers 16 m² of Non-Absorbent Surfaces

  1. Clean and degrease the surface. Once dry, tape off the area where the microcement will be applied.
  2. Apply 1 layer of Smart Jointer to fill the grout joints and leave the surface seamless. Let the product dry for 24 hours. Then, sand with a 40-grit sandpaper until the surface is completely smooth.
  3. Prepare the surface for treatment. Use a roller to apply a coat of Smart Primer PLUS. Let it dry for 30 minutes.
  4. Wet the Smart Roller with Smart Base and spread the microcement thinly (less than 1 mm) vertically and then horizontally over the surface. Smooth it out with the polycarbonate trowel in arching and multi-directional movements. Repeat this process until the surface is completely covered and smooth. Allow 6 hours of drying time between layers and sand after each layer with a 40-grit sandpaper to ensure there are no burrs. Apply a total of 2 layers of Smart Base.
  5. Repeat the same process with Smart Liso. Use the Smart Roller and polycarbonate trowel to spread the microcement thinly (less than 0.5 mm) until the surface is covered. Allow 6 hours of drying time between layers and sand after each layer with a 220-grit sandpaper. Remove the tape after application. Apply a total of 2 layers of Smart Liso. Let it dry for 24 hours after the last layer.
  6. Add the Smart Booster to the Smart Varnish container. Gently shake the container manually for a few minutes. While the mixture rests, apply tape to the necessary areas. Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes.
  7. Once the Smart Varnish mixture is ready, apply the first coat. The mixture has a shelf life of 24 hours, allowing it to be used for the second and third coats. Each coat should dry for 4 hours. Once the final coat is dry, remove the tape. Remember to sand the first and second coats with a 400-grit sandpaper. The total curing time for the varnish is 7 days to achieve maximum performance.

*Important: to apply Smartcret microcement correctly, you must maintain a 45º angle with the trowel. Failing to do so may result in a finish that differs from the desired one. Additionally, the sandpaper grits specified in this application process and included in the kit are intended solely for manual sanding. Using an electric sander may burn the product due to excessive pressure.
