These high-quality products are ideal for creating decorative coatings on interior surfaces like plasterboard, plaster, cement, concrete, and others.

This Super Microcement Kit for kitchens, bathrooms and showers, suitable for up to 16 square meters of absorbent surfaces, offers:

• 2 Smart Primer ABS 1 L: Water-based acrylic primer. This product is designed to improve the adhesion between the substrate and the microcement, ensuring even absorption across the entire surface.
• 4 Smart Base 8 kg: Preparatory ready-to-use microcement. This pigmented product with larger granules is applied to the base surface to ensure its consistency. It doesn't provide the final finish.
• 2 Smart Liso 6 kg: Finishing ready-to-use microcement. This pigmented product, applied after Smart Base, has a finer granule size and is responsible for providing the uniform, smooth, and soft aesthetics of the microcement.
• 2 Smart Varnish 2 L: Ready-to-use water-based polyurethane varnish. It seals and protects the microcement from external agents such as abrasion or water damage. It enhances the color of the new coating and is available in matte and satin finishes.
• 4 Smart Booster 50 g: Component B which is added to the varnish for enhanced protection against chemical agents, increased hardness, and resistance to abrasion.
• Sanding discs: Sandpapers with different grains for sanding the various layers of the products included in this Super Kit. You'll find ten 40-grit sandpapers, twenty 220-grit sandpapers, and ten 400-grit sandpapers.

Please note that Smartcret offers a separate toolkit for applying microcement, which is not included in this ready-to-use Super Microcement Kit but is necessary for correctly applying the products. These tools include rollers, a tray, protective masking tape, and a polycarbonate trowel.

Are you thinking about using the Super Kit of microcement to coat a countertop? We’re not surprised! Our product is super versatile, and you can use it in so many ways, like showing off this stylish piece of furniture.

You’ll be able to enjoy a beautiful countertop in your bathroom worry-free since our microcement is water-resistant (except for stagnant water) and handles humidity well, making it perfect for this space. However, we don’t recommend or guarantee its use in the kitchen. If you still want a countertop in this area, keep these tips in mind:

1. Protect the surface from heat: Avoid placing hot pots or pans directly on it. Microcement isn’t fireproof! Use a trivet or a wooden board to keep it safe.
2. Don’t cut food directly on it: Always use a cutting board. Keep unnecessary marks at bay!
3. Clean stains quickly: The longer you wait, the harder it’ll be to remove oil or vinegar stains. Protect your countertop with Smart Varnish and Smart Booster, which offer up to 8 hours of high chemical resistance (check the technical data sheet for details), and clean daily with Smart Cleaner for a flawless finish.

Application of Super Microcement Kit for Kitchens, Bathrooms and Showers - Covers 16 m² of Absorbent Surfaces

1. Ensure the area is free of any cracks, grooves, or imperfections. After necessary repairs are made, ensure it's thoroughly clean and free of grease. Once completely dry, use masking tape to mark the boundaries of the treatment area.
2. Prepare the surface for treatment. Apply a coat of Smart Primer ABS using a roller. Allow it to dry for 30 minutes.
3. Time to apply the first layer of microcement. Using the Smart Roller, spread a thin layer (approximately 1 mm thick) of Smart Base microcement, starting with vertical strokes and then switching to horizontal. Then, use the polycarbonate trowel at a 45-degree angle to smooth the surface with arched and multi-directional movements until it's completely smooth. Allow it to dry for 6 hours and sand after each layer with the 40 grit sandpaper. Apply two layers in total.
4. Continue the same process with Smart Liso, applying it with the Smart Roller and trowel in a thin layer (less than 0.5 mm thick) over the entire surface. Wait for 6 hours before sanding and applying a second layer. You need to sand with 220-grit sandpaper. Remove the masking tape and, as a recommendation, let the surface rest for 24 hours after the last application and sanding.
5. Mix Smart Booster into the Smart Varnish container. Gently shake the container by hand for a few minutes. While the mixture rests, apply masking tape to any areas needing protection. Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes.
6. Once the Smart Varnish mixture is ready, apply the first coat. The mixture has a shelf life of 24 hours, allowing it to be used for the second and third coats. Each coat should dry for 4 hours. Once the final coat is dry, remove the masking tape. Remember to sand the first and second coats with 400-grit sandpaper. The varnish requires a full 7 days to cure to achieve maximum performance.

*Important: the sandpaper grits specified in this step-by-step guide are for manual sanding. Electric sanding could damage the material.

If you do not want to have any surprises in the final finish, we advise you to buy our anti-scald trowel included in our tool kit. Buying another trowel could burn the microcement and cause unsightly black streaks to appear.
