When transforming furniture, the order of the steps truly matters: following Smartcret’s interactive guide for the correct application of each product is essential. First, the surface must be cleaned and prepared, leaving it free from dust, grease or any residue; next, the primer is applied to ensure proper adhesion of the microcement; then comes the microcement itself (3 thin coats, allowing 6 hours of drying time between each coat and sanding in between); and finally, 3 coats of protective varnish must be applied to achieve a smooth, elegant finish that is protected against daily use, friction and stains.

The main advantage of purchasing a Microcement Kit for Furniture is that it includes all the necessary products to follow the step-by-step application process: priming, applying and subsequently sanding* the microcement, and sealing with protective varnish. There is no room for improvisation here.
*This point deserves special attention, as all kits include the appropriate sandpaper grits for manual sanding. At Smartcret, we recommend avoiding the use of electric sanders, as it is very easy to burn the microcement with them and compromise the final result.
