How to paint exteriors with Smartcover Outdoor (step by step)
- Clean the substrate: remove dust, grease and loose parts. In areas with mould/algae, clean thoroughly and rinse.
- Repairs: fill cracks and fix defects. On new work, wait for full cure of the substrate.
- Primer (where needed): on virgin cement/mortar/concrete, apply Smart Primer ABS.
- Apply the paint: stir, pour into a tray and apply 2 coats with roller/brush/spray. Respect drying times between coats.
- Finish & care: allow the system to cure. For cleaning, use a damp cloth and mild detergent.
Tip: mask areas with painter’s tape and remove it while still wet for crisp edges.
Frequently asked questions about Smartcover Outdoor
How should I prepare the surface before painting?
The substrate must be dry, sound and clean. In areas with mould/algae, clean first and rinse. On previously painted surfaces, remove poorly adhered areas and level. On virgin mortar/cement, allow curing and prime.
Where should exterior paint be used?
Façades and exterior walls exposed to sun, rain and temperature changes. Ideal for vertical masonry.
What tools do I need?
