1) Clean: wipe the slate clean

Your kitchen holds memories in every tile… time to move on. Clean, degrease and fix small marks. Then fill the grout lines with Smart Jointer—in one step you erase that “grid of lines” and create the perfect base for your new design.

2) Make it stick: Smart adhesion

Apply one coat of Smart Primer PLUS. It’s like telling your wall: “Heads up, the good stuff’s coming.” And it stays—this primer ensures grip on any non-absorbent surface: tiles, marble, glass mosaic or porcelain.

⏱️ Drying: 30 min.

3) A base with character (bye-bye tile pattern)

Apply 2 coats of Smart Base. Here’s where the magic starts: the tile relief disappears and you get a uniform plane with style. Roll on with Smart Roller and smooth in thin coats using a polycarbonate trowel at 45° (that angle is sacred!).

4) The touch-me finish

⏱️ Between coats: 4 h. Sand after the 1st and 2nd coat with grit 400.

💡 Full cure: 7 days. Patience pays—after a week, your wall is fully armoured.

• Sand gently: between coats, always by hand. Power sanders can be too aggressive.
• Angle is everything: 45° with the trowel = smooth, drama-free finish.
• Thin coats, top results: more product isn’t better—trust the process.
• Protect like a pro: masking tape and plastic for units, floor and worktop. Make it easy on yourself.
• Don’t give stains a chance: the varnish is tough, but quick cleaning keeps walls pristine. Water + neutral-pH soap, or for pro level: Smart Cleaner.
• Give it time: 7 days after sealing, your wall is ready for anything. Before that… don’t push your luck.
