Your bathroom doesn’t need major renovations to shine. With the ready-to-use 8 m² microcement kit for jointed countertops, you can turn a surface full of grout lines into a seamless, modern, water-resistant design. And the best part: you do it yourself, no professionals needed.

Here’s the step-by-step guide to transforming your porcelain, marble, or tiled bathroom countertop:

1. Fill and smooth the joints

Clean your bathroom countertop thoroughly: no grease, dust, or soap residue. Once dry, apply Smart Jointer to all the joints to level them out. Wait 24 h, sand with grit 40, and the base is ready for the makeover.

2. Prepare the surface

With a roller, apply an even coat of Smart Primer PLUS. This ensures the microcement adheres perfectly on tile, porcelain, or marble. Let dry for 30 minutes.

3. Build a resistant base

Apply two thin coats (<1 mm) of Smart Base using Smart Roller, then smooth with the trowel at a 45° angle. Allow 6 h between coats and sand with grit 40. This is where the magic begins: grout lines disappear.

4. Seamless and stylish finish

Now it’s Smart Liso’s turn (colored finishing microcement). Apply two coats (<0.5 mm) with the same technique, sanding with grit 220 between layers. You’ll achieve a smooth, seamless, and non-slip surface.

5. Seal and protect your new microcement countertop

Mix Smart Varnish + Smart Booster, let it rest 5–15 minutes, and apply 3 coats. Between the first and the second, sand with grit 400. Allow 4 h drying time between coats. After 7 days of curing, your microcement countertop will be ready to withstand daily bathroom humidity.

• Respect drying times—patience is your best ally.
• Let the varnish cure for 7 days before intensive use.
• Forget electric sanders: they can damage the microcement. The perfect finish is done by hand.
