Opening this ready-to-use microcement kit is like opening the door to your small-but-mighty DIY renovation. Exciting, right? Inside you’ll find everything you need to turn your bathroom countertop into a seamless, smooth surface with its own style. No improvising, no extra calculations: every product is selected so you can enjoy both the process and the result.

It’s not just a set of materials—it’s the chance to create with your own hands a more modern, practical, and durable space. A place you’ll use every day that reflects your taste and your way of understanding design.

⚠️ Smartcret note: this kit is designed exclusively for bathroom countertops. We don’t recommend it for kitchen countertops, nor do we offer guarantees in that case. The reasons are clear:

  • Not heat-resistant: a hot pan or pot can leave marks on the microcement surface.
  • Not a cutting board: cutting directly on top will leave unsightly marks that ruin the finish.
  • Stains, the real enemy: in the kitchen, oil or vinegar spills often remain for hours (or days!). Our Smart Varnish + Smart Booster duo protects for up to 8 hours, but once a stain sets in, no sealer can save it.

In the bathroom, it’s a different story: you’ll have a decorative, practical, moisture-resistant microcement countertop that’s easy to maintain—and made by you.

Here’s what you’ll find in your box:

  • 1 × Smart Jointer (1.5 Kg) – To fill and level grout lines.
  • 1 × Smart Primer PLUS (0.5 L) – Primer for non-absorbent surfaces (tile, porcelain stoneware, marble).
  • 1 × Smart Base (8 Kg) – Pigmented preparation microcement that adds body and uniformity.
  • 1 × Smart Liso (3 Kg) – Colored, extra-fine finishing microcement for a smooth, seamless touch.
  • 1 × Smart Varnish (1 L) – Water-based varnish, matte or satin, to protect your microcement countertop from water, humidity, soap, and wear.
  • 1 × Smart Booster (50 g) – Additive that enhances the chemical resistance of the varnish.
  • Sandpapers: 3 × grit 40 (Smart Jointer and Smart Base), 5 × grit 220 (between Smart Liso coats), 3 × grit 400 (for varnish).

What this microcement kit for countertops does NOT include (but you’ll need):

Polycarbonate trowel, rollers such as Smart Roller, tray, and masking tape. We recommend our tool kit for a consistent result without surprises. Using other tools not designed by Smartcret may affect the final finish.

Application

How to correctly apply your 4 m² microcement kit for countertops with grout lines

Small bathroom, big change. With this microcement kit, you can finally say goodbye to grout lines and give your countertop a seamless, modern, and easy-to-maintain look. No previous experience required: just follow the steps and enjoy watching your bathroom countertop transform with your own hands using Smartcret microcement.

1. Goodbye grout lines

Thoroughly clean your countertop (no dust, grease, or soap residue). Apply Smart Jointer to each grout line and let it dry for 24 h. Lightly sand with 40-grit paper and your base will be ready for a fresh start.

2. The primer that gets everything ready

With the orange roller, apply one coat of Smart Primer PLUS. This ensures perfect adhesion on tile, porcelain stoneware, or marble. Waiting time: 30 minutes.

3. Solid base for a real change

Apply two very thin coats of Smart Base (<1 mm). Spread with the Smart Roller and smooth with the polycarbonate, anti-burn trowel at a 45° angle. Between coats: 6 h drying time and light sanding with 40-grit. Starting to enjoy the process, right?

4. Smooth and stylish finish

Now it’s time to apply two coats of Smart Liso (<0.5 mm). Allow 6 h drying time and sand with 220-grit paper between coats. The result: a continuous surface, soft to the touch and stylish.

5. Protect your new microcement countertop

Mix Smart Varnish + Smart Booster, let it rest for 5–15 min, and apply 3 coats. Between the first and second coats, sand with 400-grit and wait 4 h between applications. After 7 days of curing, your countertop will be ready to withstand the daily humidity of your bathroom.

💡 Smartcret tips:

  • Thin layers = flawless finish.
  • Always keep the trowel at 45°.
  • Be patient with drying times: it’s the secret to success.
  • Let the varnish cure for 7 days before intensive use.
  • Avoid electric sanders: too much pressure will burn the microcement.
