Everything you need to renovate your shower yourself and forget about joints for a very long time. This microcement kit is designed to be applied over surfaces like mosaic tile, marble, ceramic tiles or stoneware—whether on the walls or directly on the shower tray.
The result? A refreshed bathroom turned into your personal oasis of calm and relaxation. A continuous, durable and seriously good-looking finish. And easy to clean! Just water and a neutral pH soap will do.
What’s inside:
- 1 × Smart Jointer (1.5 Kg): ready-to-use filler to cover joints between tiles and mosaic, leaving a smooth, even surface.
- 1 × Smart Primer PLUS (1 L): primer that ensures perfect adhesion of the microcement on non-absorbent surfaces.
- 1 × Smart Base (16 Kg): pigmented base microcement that builds up and strengthens the surface.
- 1 × Smart Liso (6 Kg): ready-to-use finishing microcement—smooth, seamless and water-resistant.
- 1 × Smart Varnish (2L): water-based sealer that protects the surface. Available in matte or satin finish.
- 1 × Smart Booster (100 g): additive that boosts the varnish’s resistance. The upgrade every shower needs.
- 6 × Grit 40 sanding sheets, 10 × Grit 220 sheets, and 6 × Grit 400 sheets: for smoothing between layers and getting that pro-grade, even finish.
📌 Important notes:
- This kit doesn’t include tools, but you can add our specific accessory kit for a top-notch result (with Smart Roller, anti-burn trowel, etc).
- The included sandpaper is for manual sanding. If using a power sander, be extra gentle—too much pressure can burn the surface.
- Microcement is water-resistant, but not to standing water. If you're coating the shower tray, make sure the slope toward the drain is correct (about 10% incline).
Application
How to apply the 8 m² microcement kit on your old tiled shower
You're just a few steps away from saying goodbye to those outdated mosaic tiles or ceramic joints for good. Whether they’re on the walls or the shower tray, very soon you'll be stepping into a bathroom that feels like a spa. Here’s how to go from “I want it” to “I did it!” in 5 easy, smooth and quick steps:
1. Hide the joints with Smart Jointer
Fill all the grout lines between tiles or mosaic until the surface is level. Once dry, sand it down to make sure nothing breaks the smooth finish.
2. Bond with the surface using Smart Primer PLUS
Apply an even coat with a roller and let it dry for 30 minutes. This primer is the invisible link that makes everything work like a charm.
3. Microcement match with Smart Base
Apply 2 thin coats (less than 1 mm) using Smart Roller and smooth it out with the trowel at 45°. Let dry 6 hours between coats and sand with grit 40. This is where the old shower disappears and the microcement magic begins.
4. Fall for Smart Liso
Apply 2 thin coats, each less than 0.5 mm, using the same technique: trowel at 45°, 6 h drying time, and sanding with grit 220 in between. Voilà: a seamless, stylish and water-resistant shower.
5. Total protection with Smart Varnish + Booster
Apply 3 coats of varnish with the additive. Let each coat dry for 4 hours, sanding the first and second layers with grit 400. After 7 days—the time it takes the varnish to fully cure—your brand-new, modern, anti-slip shower is ready- to- use.
🚨 Pro tips:
- Always sand by hand, never with a machine.
- Keep the trowel at a 45° angle for a smooth finish.
- If you're covering the shower tray, make sure the slope toward the drain is correct (around 10%).
- Wait 7 days before using your new microcement shower. That’s how long the varnish needs to reach full resistance.
