Microcement kits for non-absorbent surfaces

A non-absorbent surface is one that does not take in water: wall tiles, stoneware, mosaic, terrazzo, marble or floor tiles. They are the most common in bathrooms and kitchens, and they have two quirks that shape the job: they let no product through, and they have pronounced joints that, left untreated, end up telegraphing through the microcement.

Everything arrives ready to use and already pigmented, in 20 colours and a matte or satin finish. There is no need to lift the tiles or generate rubble: the microcement goes on top, at 2-3 mm thick, which takes up no space and means you do not have to touch doors or sanitaryware.

I found this product because I was so sick of cleaning tile grout. I wanted the Tadelakt look without spending $$$. The process takes time but the result was worth it. Only use the plastic trowel — a metal one leaves black marks. The Smartcret team was very helpful. I love my new shower and get so many compliments on it!
