The best part about this kit: you don’t have to think about anything else. It comes with exactly what you need to renovate up to 4 m² of bathroom concrete countertop. No tricky calculations, no extra products.
⚠️ Important: At Smartcret we do not recommend using it on kitchen countertops and we do not provide guarantees in that case. Why?
- Microcement is not fireproof: you cannot place hot pots or pans directly on the surface without damaging it.
- You should not cut food directly on it: it would leave unattractive scratches.
- Watch out for stains: although Smart Varnish + Smart Booster resists oil or vinegar for up to 8 hours, it’s best to clean them as soon as possible with Smart Cleaner.
When used in bathrooms, you’ll have a decorative and functional countertop that is water-resistant (not for standing water), humidity-proof, easy to maintain, and made by you.
In the box you’ll find:
- 1 × Smart Primer ABS (0.5 L) – Primer for absorbent surfaces: cement, mortar, concrete.
- 1 × Smart Base (8 Kg) – Pigmented base microcement.
- 1 × Smart Liso (3 Kg) – Extra-fine finish microcement, also pigmented.
- 1 × Smart Varnish (1 L) – Water-based varnish, matte or satin, protective against humidity and soap.
- 1 × Smart Booster (50 g) – Enhances the chemical resistance of the varnish.
- 3 × 40-grit sandpapers – For initial sanding of Smart Base.
- 5 × 220-grit sandpapers – For smoothing between Smart Liso coats.
- 3 × 400-grit sandpapers – For the perfect finish and varnish sanding.
💡 Smartcret Tip: Tools are not included, but we have a specific kit with polycarbonate trowel, rollers, and accessories so your DIY mini renovation gets a professional finish.
Application
Bring your built-in countertop to life with this microcement kit in 4 steps:
Your bathroom doesn’t need major renovations to change. With the 4 m² microcement kit for built-in countertops, you turn a simple surface into a continuous, modern, and water-resistant finish. And you do it yourself, no professionals needed.
Here’s your route to transform your countertop:
1. Prepare the surface
Clean your built-in countertop thoroughly: no dust, grease, or soap residue. Once spotless, apply a layer of Smart Primer ABS with a roller. Let it dry for 30 minutes.
2. Build a solid base
Apply two thin coats of Smart Base (<1 mm) with Smart Roller and smooth with the trowel at a 45° angle. Allow 6 hours of drying time between coats and lightly sand with 40-grit paper.
3. Fine finish, premium look
Apply two coats of Smart Liso (<0.5 mm). Sand with 220-grit paper between coats and respect 6 hours of drying time. Your bathroom countertop is now turning into a smooth, continuous surface.
4. Seal and protect
Mix Smart Varnish + Smart Booster, let it sit for 5–15 minutes, and apply 3 coats. Sand with 400-grit paper between the first and second coats, allowing 4 hours of drying between each. After 7 days of curing, your countertop will be ready to withstand everyday bathroom use.
💡 Smartcret Tips:
- Thin coats = better results.
- Always keep the trowel at 45°.
- Respect drying times.
- Let the varnish cure for 7 days before intensive use.
- Skip electric sanders: they can burn the microcement. Perfect finish comes by hand with our sanding papers.
