Before you buy

Check if this kit is right for your bathroom

This solution is designed to renovate jointed surfaces (tiles, mosaic, floor tiles…) without removing them. Check these four points before choosing size and colour.

Compatible surface

Surfaces with stable joints: tiles, mosaic, floor tiles, terrazzo or marble. This is not the right kit for plaster, drywall or cement substrates.

Coverage

Measure the height × width of each surface. The calculator adds a 10% margin and recommends the right kit size, or a combination for larger projects.

What's included

Joint filler, primer, microcement base coats, finish, varnish, additive and sandpaper: the complete layer-by-layer system.

What you need separately

Sealer roller, polycarbonate trowel and basic tools. You can find them in microcement tools.

FREE shipping included in the price. Delivery times depend on your country; you will see the estimate at checkout.

Everything you need to know before you start

What’s included and what do I need separately?

The kit includes all the Smartcret system products needed for your surface and your square metres: you will find them detailed one by one, with their quantities, in the ‘Description’ tab below. You will also need a sealer roller, a polycarbonate trowel and basic protection and application tools. The microcement comes ready to use, already pigmented; only the final coat of varnish is mixed with its booster.

How do I choose the coverage?

Measure the surface to be covered: for walls, width × height of each section; for floors, worktops or furniture, length × width of each face. Subtract only large openings, add up the total and add a 10% margin. Choose the kit whose m² is equal to or greater than the result; if in doubt between two, go for the larger one. You can also use the calculator in the selector.

How long does the project take?

The full project takes 3 days. The varnish reaches full cure from 7 days.

Can I return or exchange the kit?

Yes: you have 15 days from receipt for exchanges and returns. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense and you will need the invoice to process it. See the full conditions.

Is it right for my surface?

Each kit is formulated for a specific project and surface: you will find it in the kit name and in the line with ✓ above the coverage selector. If your surface is different (for example, plasterboard instead of tiles), use the assistant at the top and we will take you to the right kit. First repair any loose piece, active crack or damp problem.

Description

The ingredients of change: what’s in the 4 m² microcement kit for a tiled sink

Transforming a marble or porcelain sink is no longer a mission impossible — and the same goes for granite or terrazzo. With our ready-to-use microcement kit, you can renew up to 4 m² of that elegant (but often cold) surface and give it the warm, seamless, contemporary look you’ve been after. A fast, clean, fully DIY upgrade where the only thing that breaks is the “I can’t” barrier.

Our 4 m² microcement kit for tiled sinks is designed to live with water and ambient humidity without losing its texture or colour. Perfect for the high-demand bathroom space, where the sink faces daily splashes. There’s just one golden rule: make sure water always flows to the drain (a gentle 10% slope) with no standing areas. That’s how you keep the finish flawless for years.

And now, the contents that make the change possible:

  • 1 × Smart Jointer (1.5 Kg). Filler to bridge grout lines and level the substrate before applying microcement.
  • 1 × Smart Primer Plus (0.5 L). Primer for non-absorbent surfaces such as marble, porcelain, granite or terrazzo. Creates the perfect anchor so the microcement bonds firmly.
  • 1 × Smart Base (8 Kg). Pigmented preparation microcement. Levels the surface and builds body before the final finish.
  • 1 × Smart Liso (3 Kg) . Ultra-fine, coloured finishing microcement. Responsible for that silky touch and the visual look that changes everything.
  • 1 × Smart Varnish (1 L). Water-based sealer (matt or satin) that protects against humidity and daily use, making your microcement sink easier to clean.
  • 1 × Smart Booster (50 g). Additive that boosts the chemical resistance of the sealer to extend your sink’s lifespan.
  • 3 × Sandpapers, grit 40. For Smart Jointer and Smart Base.
  • 5 × Sandpapers, grit 220. For Smart Liso.
  • 3 × Sandpapers, grit 400. For Smart Varnish.

💡 Smartcret tip: tools aren’t included, but there’s a dedicated application kit (polycarbonate trowel, rollers, etc.) designed for this system. Using low-quality tools can affect the final result — and at Smartcret we want you to show off a perfect finish.

Additional information

Additional information for the microcement kit for tiled sink up to 4 m²

Marble, porcelain, granite or terrazzo. Whatever non-absorbent substrate your tiled sink has, here are essential tips to help you enjoy your beautiful microcement finish for a long time.

Water that flows, finish that lasts

Bathrooms mean splashes and steam. Our microcement kit handles water and ambient humidity very well, but standing water is a no-go. If needed, design a slight slope (≈10%) toward the drain and don’t leave sponges or soap dishes dripping in the same spot. Clean and dry them regularly.

Thin coats, real drying times

More product isn’t better. With Smartcret, excess material can cause cracks. Apply thin layers (follow the mm stated in the technical data sheets and the application guide) and always keep the trowel at 45°.

Respect drying times between coats—no hot-air shortcuts. The sealer reaches maximum strength after 7 days; until then, treat the surface gently.

Sanding with control

Each product calls for a specific grit—and here, order does affect the finish. Follow the technical guidance closely. Sand by hand and avoid power sanders; if you use one, apply very light pressure to prevent burning the microcement.

Cleaning & maintenance

Daily care is easy: water and pH-neutral soap. For occasional deeper cleans, use Smart Cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads, metal brushes or bleach—they will damage the finish.

Mind the corners

Where the trowel won’t reach, use a small spatula. Apply very little product in corners and around the drain to avoid build-up and keep a continuous look.

Tools that match the task

A polycarbonate trowel, Smart Roller and a small spatula for tight areas—tools make the finish. For a sure result, grab our tool kit in the shop (not included with this kit).

Application

How to apply the microcement kit: step-by-step to transform your 4 m² marble or porcelain sink

Your sink has seen it all… but it hasn’t seen you with a trowel yet. This is the moment. Coffee nearby, music on, zero fear: with a few thin coats and a little patience, your bathroom turns into design.

1️⃣ Prep, clean and protect

Start with the basics: thoroughly clean the marble, porcelain or granite surface (no limescale, grease or soap residue) and dry well. Mask edges, tapware and the drain. If there are small cracks or gaps, Smart Jointer is your ally: fill, level and let dry. Lightly sand with grit 40. You’ve now got the perfect canvas.

2️⃣ Create the “magic grip”

After 24 hours, to ensure stress-free adhesion, apply one coat of Smart Primer Plus with a roller. Wait about 30 minutes… and your sink is ready to be coated with our microcement kit.

3️⃣ Build the new body of the sink

Time for Smart Base. Apply two thin coats (<1 mm) with the Smart Roller and smooth with our polycarbonate trowel at 45°. Allow 6 h between coats and sand with grit 40. Here’s where the magic starts: the sink stops feeling cold and becomes pure design.

4️⃣ The fine, stylish touch

Now it’s Smart Liso. Two coats, 6 h apart, with a light sand using grit 220 in between. This is the step that turns your sink into one continuous, smooth, modern piece. Take a second to admire it—your “new bathroom” is already in the air.

5️⃣ Seal and protect (the final flourish)

Mix Smart Varnish + Smart Booster, let it rest a few minutes and apply three coats (matt or satin, your choice). Allow 4 h between coats; sand the 1st and 2nd with grit 400. After 7 days of curing, the varnish reaches maximum strength. Until then, treat it gently: no pooling water, no rush.
