Before you buy

Check if this kit is right for your bathroom

This solution is designed to renovate jointed surfaces (tiles, mosaic, floor tiles…) without removing them. Check these four points before choosing size and colour.

Compatible surface

Surfaces with stable joints: tiles, mosaic, floor tiles, terrazzo or marble. This is not the right kit for plaster, drywall or cement substrates.

Coverage

Measure the height × width of each surface. The calculator adds a 10% margin and recommends the right kit size, or a combination for larger projects.

What's included

Joint filler, primer, microcement base coats, finish, varnish, additive and sandpaper: the complete layer-by-layer system.

What you need separately

Sealer roller, polycarbonate trowel and basic tools. You can find them in microcement tools.

FREE shipping included in the price. Delivery times depend on your country; you will see the estimate at checkout.

Everything you need to know before you start

What’s included and what do I need separately?

The kit includes all the Smartcret system products needed for your surface and your square metres: you will find them detailed one by one, with their quantities, in the ‘Description’ tab below. You will also need a sealer roller, a polycarbonate trowel and basic protection and application tools. The microcement comes ready to use, already pigmented; only the final coat of varnish is mixed with its booster.

How do I choose the coverage?

Measure the surface to be covered: for walls, width × height of each section; for floors, worktops or furniture, length × width of each face. Subtract only large openings, add up the total and add a 10% margin. Choose the kit whose m² is equal to or greater than the result; if in doubt between two, go for the larger one. You can also use the calculator in the selector.

How long does the project take?

The full project takes 3 days. The varnish reaches full cure from 7 days.

Can I return or exchange the kit?

Yes: you have 15 days from receipt for exchanges and returns. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense and you will need the invoice to process it. See the full conditions.

Is it right for my surface?

Each kit is formulated for a specific project and surface: you will find it in the kit name and in the line with ✓ above the coverage selector. If your surface is different (for example, plasterboard instead of tiles), use the assistant at the top and we will take you to the right kit. First repair any loose piece, active crack or damp problem.

Description

What’s inside the 8 m² microcement kit for porcelain or marble sinks: everything that makes your makeover possible

Some projects start with a “what if…?” and end with a smile in the mirror. This is one of them. With our microcement kit for porcelain or marble sinks (up to 8 m²) you’ll create a warm, even, seamless surface. A clean, fast, 100% DIY change that transforms your bathroom without taking anything apart.

Our ready-to-use microcement is designed to handle bathroom moisture and splashes without losing colour or texture over time. There’s just one secret to keep it flawless: ensure water flows freely to the drain, with no flat spots where it can pool. That slight slope is the difference between “looks good” and “looks perfect”.

Now for the contents that turn an idea into results:

  • 1 × Smart Jointer (1.5 Kg) — Filler to level joints and transitions before microcement. Leaves a smooth, uniform base.
  • 1 × Smart Primer Plus (1 L) — Special primer for non-absorbent surfaces (marble, porcelain, granite). Creates the ideal bond.
  • 1 × Smart Base (16 Kg) — Pigmented preparation microcement that builds body and strengthens the substrate.
  • 1 × Smart Liso (6 Kg) — Ultra-fine, coloured finishing microcement. Its silky touch and uniform colour define the final look of your microcement sink.
  • 1 × Smart Varnish (2 L) — Water-based sealer (matt or satin) that protects against humidity and daily use, making cleaning easier.
  • 1 × Smart Booster (100 g) — Additive that boosts the sealer’s chemical resistance and extends durability.
  • 6 × Sandpapers, grit 40 — For sanding Smart Jointer and Smart Base.
  • 10 × Sandpapers, grit 220 — For smoothing between coats of Smart Liso.
  • 6 × Sandpapers, grit 400 — For finishing the sealer and achieving that uniform feel.

💡 Smartcret tip: tools aren’t included, but we offer a dedicated application kit (polycarbonate trowel, rollers, tray, etc.) designed for this system. Using unsuitable or low-quality tools can affect the finish — and here, the finish is everything.

Additional information

Additional information about microcement kit for your porcelain or marble sink up to 8 m²

Every sink has its story and its daily use, but the result you want — a smooth, durable, easy-to-maintain surface — depends on a few key details worth knowing before you start.

Here are the essentials to make sure your project looks as good on day one… and long after.

💧 Flowing water, not standing water

Smartcret microcement handles running water and humidity with ease, but not permanent puddles. Make sure your sink has a slight slope (10%) toward the drain and avoid leaving sponges or soap dishes dripping in the same spot. Moving water preserves the finish; standing water ages it.

🪞 Thin layers, real results

Apply layers with the recommended thickness — with Smartcret, less is more. Too much product can cause cracks or marks. Respect drying times between coats and let the material do its job naturally. The varnish reaches its maximum strength after 7 days, so treat it gently during the first week.

🪶 Sanding with care

Each stage has its specific grit size. Always use the right one and sand by hand: controlled pressure gives a uniform finish.

If using an electric sander, be careful — too much speed or pressure can burn the microcement surface.

🧽 Simple cleaning

Your microcement sink cleans easily with water and neutral soap — nothing more needed. For deeper cleaning or extra shine, use Smart Cleaner, Smartcret’s eco-friendly detergent. Avoid abrasive products, bleach or metal scourers — your finish will thank you.

🧰 Mind the corners

In corners or curved areas, use a small spatula. Apply minimal product and spread it evenly to keep the continuous look and prevent build-up along edges.

⚒️ Tools that make the difference

Our anti-burn polycarbonate trowel, Smart Roller, and precision spatula are your best allies for a flawless result. For easier application, you can get the Smartcret tool kit, designed specifically for this system (not included in this microcement kit).

✨ Remember: the mixture of Smart Varnish + Smart Booster has a 24-hour working time. Between coats, allow 4 hours drying and light sanding with grit 400. Remove masking tape at the end and let the finish cure undisturbed.

This guarantees your microcement sink stays beautiful, functional, and truly yours — just like the first day.

Application

How to apply the 8 m² microcement kit for non-absorbent sinks: a change you’ll notice every morning

Imagine turning on the tap each morning and seeing a seamless surface you want to touch—one that tidies up the look of your bathroom and wipes clean in seconds. A microcement sink that invites use and quietly says, “I did it myself.”

Goodbye porcelain, marble or granite look; hello modern, bathroom-proof finish. Here’s how to apply your 8 m² microcement kit on non-absorbent substrates. You’ll quickly turn routine into a small daily win.

1) Start clean, see the difference

Remove limescale, soap and grease; dry thoroughly. Mask edges and tapware. If there are small joints or gaps, Smart Jointer levels them flush. This first move already makes the sink look cared for. Let dry 24 hours, then hand-sand with grit 40—your canvas is ready.

2) Lock in adhesion

Porcelain, marble or granite need a bonding bridge for microcement to grab. Apply one coat of Smart Primer Plus and wait 30 minutes. Your non-absorbent sink is now ready for change—the primer makes the system work with you, not against you.

3) Build the new plane

With Smart Base in thin coats, the sink gains shape and cohesion. Apply 2 thin coats (<1 mm). Roll with Smart Roller and smooth with a polycarbonate trowel at 45°. Allow 6 h between coats and hand-sand with grit 40. You’ll get an even surface—especially around the drain.

4) Dress the visible skin

Smart Liso brings colour and silky texture. Two light coats (<0.5 mm) make the piece read as one continuous surface—that irresistible “want to touch” feel. Use Smart Roller and trowel again, keep the same drying times, and sand with grit 220 after each coat.

5) Seal the deal

Mix Smart Varnish + Smart Booster, let it rest a few minutes, and apply 3 thin coats (matt or satin), respecting 4 h drying between coats.

After 7 days of cure, you’ll have a finish with excellent water and humidity performance and easy cleaning—the moment when “like it” becomes “love it”.

6) Keep the fresh-new feeling

Ensure a gentle slope (10%) toward the drain so water flows. For daily care: water and pH-neutral soap; for deeper cleans, Smart Cleaner. Avoid scouring pads, metal brushes and harsh chemicals. In corners, use a small spatula and just enough product.
