This ready-to-use Smart Microcement Kit for kitchens, bathrooms and showers is designed for 8 m² of absorbent surfaces. It includes everything you need to achieve your dream renovation without the hassle of construction work or hiring labor. This easy transformation requires no prior experience and can be done by yourself.

These professional-grade products are perfect for creating decorative coatings on bathroom and kitchen surfaces such as plasterboard, plaster, cement, concrete, and more.

This Smart Microcement Kit for kitchens, bathrooms and showers, covering up to 8 square meters of absorbent surfaces, contains:

• 1 Smart Primer ABS 1 L: Water-based acrylic primer: This product is designed to improve the adhesion between the substrate and the microcement, ensuring even absorption across the entire surface.
• 1 Smart Base 16 kg: Preparatory ready-to-use microcement. This pigmented product with larger granules is applied to the base surface to ensure its consistency. It doesn't provide the final finish.
• 1 Smart Liso 6 kg: Finishing ready-to-use microcement. This pigmented product, applied after Smart Base, has a finer granule size and is responsible for providing the uniform, smooth, and soft aesthetics of the microcement.
• 1 Smart Varnish 2 L: Ready-to-use water-based polyurethane varnish. It seals and protects the microcement from external agents such as abrasion or water damage. It enhances the color of the new coating and is available in matte and satin finishes.
• 2Smart Booster 50 g: Component B which is added to the varnish for enhanced protection against chemical agents, increased hardness, and resistance to abrasion.
• Sanding discs for sanding the various layers of the products included in this Smart Kit. You'll find five 40-grit sandpapers, ten 220-grit sandpapers, and five 400-grit sandpapers.

Please note that Smartcret offers a separate toolkit for applying microcement, which is not included in this ready-to-use microcement Smart Kit but is necessary for correctly applying the products. These tools include rollers, a tray, protective masking tape, and a polycarbonate trowel.

Are you ready to renovate your countertop with our Smart Kit of microcement? Our microcement is perfect if this piece of furniture is in a bathroom, as it is resistant to water (except standing water) and ambient humidity. However, if the countertop is in the kitchen, we do not recommend it or guarantee the results for these three reasons:

1. The surface does not tolerate extreme heat, so always use a placemat or board to protect it from hot containers. Treat it like it deserves!
2. Avoid cutting food directly on the microcement countertop. The marks that may form could ruin its appearance.
3. Act quickly on stains. The longer you wait to clean oil or vinegar stains, the worse it will get. Our combination of Smart Varnish and Smart Booster offers up to 8 hours of chemical resistance (see the table in the technical data sheet), and by cleaning with Smart Cleaner, your countertop will always look immaculate.

1. Ensure the area is free of any cracks, grooves, or imperfections. After necessary repairs are made, ensure it's thoroughly clean and free of grease. Once completely dry, use masking tape to mark the boundaries of the treatment area.
2. Prepare the surface for treatment. Apply a coat of Smart Primer ABS using a roller. Allow it to dry for 30 minutes.
3. Time to apply the first layer of microcement. Using the Smart Roller, spread a thin layer (approximately 1 mm thick) of Smart Base microcement, starting with vertical strokes and then switching to horizontal. Then, use the polycarbonate trowel at a 45-degree angle to smooth the surface with arched and multi-directional movements until it's completely smooth. Allow it to dry for 6 hours and sand after each layer with the 40 grit sandpaper. Apply two layers in total.
4. Continue the same process with Smart Liso, applying it with the Smart Roller and trowel in a thin layer (less than 0.5 mm thick) over the entire surface. Wait for 6 hours before sanding and applying a second layer. You need to sand with 220-grit sandpaper. Remove the masking tape and, as a recommendation, let the surface rest for 24 hours after the last application and sanding.
5. Mix Smart Booster into the Smart Varnish container. Gently shake the container by hand for a few minutes. While the mixture rests, apply masking tape to any areas needing protection. Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes.
6. Once the Smart Varnish mixture is ready, apply the first coat. The mixture has a shelf life of 24 hours, allowing it to be used for the second and third coats. Each coat should dry for 4 hours. Once the final coat is dry, remove the masking tape. Remember to sand the first and second coats with 400-grit sandpaper. The varnish requires a full 7 days to cure to achieve maximum performance.

*Important: to achieve the best result, the trowel must be kept at a 45º angle, as already specified. If this inclination is not maintained, the final finish may be compromised. This 8m² microcement kit includes sandpapers suitable only for manual sanding. Using an electric sander carries the risk of burning the microcement due to excessive friction. The same applies to using a trowel that is not our own.
