Smart Liso is the finishing microcement in the Smartcret system for walls, furniture, fireplaces and worktops: the layer you see and touch. It is a pigmented acrylic paste, ready to use, fine-grained, applied in two coats of less than 0.3 mm each over Smart Base, never directly onto the substrate. It covers 0.25 kg/m² per coat, is sanded with a 220-grit disc and is left to dry for 4 to 8 hours between coats.

It comes in containers of 3 kg at $60 (shown in your currency at checkout) and 6 kg at $92, in the 20 colours of the range, and it is intended for two situations: completing a kit that is short of material, or finishing a small area when you already have Smart Base. If you are starting a project from scratch, the microcement kit for your room comes with Smart Base, Smart Liso, the primer, the varnish and the abrasive discs in the quantities that match the square metres.

Technical data sheet figures: Shore hardness 43, Taber abrasion 376 mg (CS17, 1,000 g, 1,000 cycles), density 1.6 g/cm³, solids content 80-82 %. It is the finest of the three Smartcret microcements (Base, Medio and Liso), which is why it is reserved for walls and surfaces that are not walked on; on floors and stairs the finish is Smart Medio, which is more resistant to abrasion.

Once dry, it is sealed after 24 hours with three coats of Smart Varnish. It is cleaned with water and neutral pH soap or with Smart Cleaner; Smart Wax wax reinforces the surface hardness and the natural sheen.

Application of Smart Liso: Finishing ready-to-use microcement

The ready-to-use microcement for finishing, Smart Liso, is the second application step in the Smartcret Do It YOURSELF system. Once the installation and drying of Smart Base, the preparation microcement, are complete, apply protective adhesive tape again to outline the area.

1. Stir the pre-pigmented ready-to-use finishing microcement Smart Liso with a spatula. Dip the black roller into the Smart Liso and spread the microcement thinly (less than 0.5mm) on the wall vertically, then horizontally. Smooth it out with the polycarbonate trowel using arcing motions in all directions. Continue this process until the surface is completely covered and smooth. Allow 6 hours of drying time between layers and sand after each layer using a 220-grit sandpaper. Apply a total of 2 layers of Smart Liso.
2. After 24 hours from the application of the last layer of Smart Liso microcement, protect the new surface with water-based polyurethane sealer, Smart Varnish. Apply 3 coats, leaving 4 hours between each. Sand the first and second coat with 400-grit sandpaper.

Our microcement sealer reaches its maximum performance after seven days. We recommend respecting this period so you can enjoy your new microcement finish in the best conditions.
