Before you buy

Check if this kit is right for your bathroom

This solution is designed to renovate building substrates (cement, concrete, plaster or drywall). Check these four points before choosing size and colour.

Compatible surface

Building substrates: cement, concrete, plaster or drywall. This is not the right kit for tiled surfaces with joints.

Coverage

Measure the height × width of each surface. The calculator adds a 10% margin and recommends the right kit size, or a combination for larger projects.

What's included

Joint filler, primer, microcement base coats, finish, varnish, additive and sandpaper: the complete layer-by-layer system.

What you need separately

Sealer roller, polycarbonate trowel and basic tools. You can find them in microcement tools.

FREE shipping included in the price. Delivery times depend on your country; you will see the estimate at checkout.

Everything you need to know before you start

What’s included and what do I need separately?

The kit includes all the Smartcret system products needed for your surface and your square metres: you will find them detailed one by one, with their quantities, in the ‘Description’ tab below. You will also need a sealer roller, a polycarbonate trowel and basic protection and application tools. The microcement comes ready to use, already pigmented; only the final coat of varnish is mixed with its booster.

How do I choose the coverage?

Measure the surface to be covered: for walls, width × height of each section; for floors, worktops or furniture, length × width of each face. Subtract only large openings, add up the total and add a 10% margin. Choose the kit whose m² is equal to or greater than the result; if in doubt between two, go for the larger one. You can also use the calculator in the selector.

How long does the project take?

The full project takes 3 days. The varnish reaches full cure from 7 days.

Can I return or exchange the kit?

Yes: you have 14 days from delivery for exchanges and returns. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense and your order number is enough for us. See the full conditions.

Is it right for my surface?

Each kit is formulated for a specific project and surface: you will find it in the kit name and in the line with ✓ above the coverage selector. If your surface is different (for example, plasterboard instead of tiles), use the assistant at the top and we will take you to the right kit. First repair any loose piece, active crack or damp problem.

Description

What to expect from your 8 m² microcement kit for drywall or plaster showers: included products

Forget about endless renovations—within just a few days you’ll have a modern, resistant shower with its own style. And the best part? All the credit goes to you, because you’ll make the change yourself.

Worried about water? Don’t be! Our ready-to-use microcement is resistant to running water as well as ambient humidity. So relax—your karaoke sessions under the shower are perfectly safe.

Now that’s clear (and later, in the “Additional Information” and “Application” sections, we’ll give you foolproof tips and considerations), let’s get into what’s inside our 8 m² concrete shower microcement kit. These are your ticket to a cover-worthy microcement shower:

  • 1 × Smart Primer ABS (1 L): the primer that makes microcement stick like a glove to drywall, plaster, cement, or concrete. Any absorbent surface in your concrete shower.
  • 1 × Smart Base (16 Kg): the muscle of the system. Pigmented preparation microcement that gives body and stability to your shower.
  • 1 × Smart Liso (6 Kg): ready-to-use, pre-colored finishing microcement, designed to withstand humidity and daily use—and to dazzle you with its silky smooth finish.
  • 1 × Smart Varnish (2 L): protective varnish against water, soap, and ambient humidity. Available in matte or satin.
  • 1 × Smart Booster (100 g): the booster that makes the varnish even tougher and more water resistant.
  • 6 × Sandpapers, grit 40: to smooth and remove imperfections from Smart Base.
  • 10 × Sandpapers, grit 220: to soften edges between layers of Smart Liso.
  • 6 × Sandpapers, grit 400: for Smart Varnish

👉 And the tools? Not here, but we’ve got a specific kit that will be your best ally: anti-burn trowel, Smart Roller for an easier application, and a ready-to-go bucket, among others. The perfect pack to boast “I did it myself!” without the drama. Using other tools not tested by Smartcret could compromise the finish of your gorgeous microcement shower.

Additional information

Care and Maintenance

Your new shower needs 7 days of curing before use. After that:

  • Clean it with water and neutral soap.
  • For a deeper clean, use Smart Cleaner.
  • Avoid harsh products—your microcement doesn’t need them.

Application

How to transform your concrete shower with the 8 m² microcement kit

Transforming a concrete shower isn’t about magic—it’s about method. And with this kit, you’ve got everything: ready-to-use products, clear drying times, and even the right sandpapers. Forget about messy builders, dust, and those impossible-to-clean black grout lines: on your shower tray and on your drywall, plaster, cement, or concrete walls, microcement becomes your best ally.

This block is your Smartcret-style instruction manual: simple, practical, and without complicated jargon. Just motivation and a bit of patience to make your shower look brand new.

Read carefully before applying microcement:

  • Check the moisture level of the surface, especially negative humidity. If it isn’t treated beforehand, it will seep into the microcement and cause unsightly stains.
  • If the surface is unstable and shows chips or cracks, these must be repaired before applying microcement in your concrete shower.
  • Does your shower tray have the right slope? Minimum 10% gradient, otherwise you’ll have problems.
  • Remove all traces of soap, dirt, and dust—the surface must be spotless.

Considerations during the process:

  • Use a spatula for corners and edges. The finish will be cleaner and you’ll feel like a pro.
  • If you’re only coating the shower walls, seal the joint with silicone where they meet the tray. This prevents leaks and headaches.
  • If you’re coating the tray itself, make sure it has at least a 10% slope toward the drain. Without it, you’ll end up with a mini pool and all the issues of stagnant water.
  • Going for both walls and tray? Always start with the walls. Use masking tape to define the area and plastic to protect the tray. Trust me—you’ll avoid stains and swearing.

Wait 7 days of curing before using your new microcement shower. Smart Varnish reaches its full performance after the first week. Always hold the trowel at a 45° angle. Any other angle = guaranteed disaster. And no, don’t use an electric sander: too much pressure will burn the microcement. The sandpapers included in your kit are designed for manual sanding.

Step-by-step: how to apply microcement to your drywall, plaster, cement, or concrete shower

Now for the part you’ve been waiting for—how to apply this 8 m² concrete shower microcement kit. Pay attention:

1. Prime with Smart Primer ABS

Apply one even coat with the roller, let it dry for 30 minutes, and your surface will be ready for action.

2. Start with Smart Base

Apply 2 thin coats (less than 1 mm) with the Smart Roller and smooth with the trowel at 45°. Allow 6 h drying between coats and sand with grit 40. Here’s where the magic begins.

3. Finish with Smart Medio

Apply 2 thin coats (max. 0.5 mm). Same routine: roller, trowel, 6 h drying, sanding with grit 80. At this point, your shower is starting to look like a luxury spa.

4. Seal with Smart Varnish + Booster

Apply 3 coats of varnish mixed with the additive, allowing 4 h drying between each. Sand the 1st and 2nd coats with grit 400. Wait 7 days of curing before enjoying your brand-new shower.
