Before you buy

Check if this kit is right for your bathroom

This solution is designed to renovate jointed surfaces (tiles, mosaic, floor tiles…) without removing them. Check these four points before choosing size and colour.

Compatible surface

Surfaces with stable joints: tiles, mosaic, floor tiles, terrazzo or marble. This is not the right kit for plaster, drywall or cement substrates.

Coverage

Measure the height × width of each surface. The calculator adds a 10% margin and recommends the right kit size, or a combination for larger projects.

What's included

Joint filler, primer, microcement base coats, finish, varnish, additive and sandpaper: the complete layer-by-layer system.

What you need separately

Sealer roller, polycarbonate trowel and basic tools. You can find them in microcement tools.

FREE shipping included in the price. Delivery times depend on your country; you will see the estimate at checkout.

Everything you need to know before you start

What’s included and what do I need separately?

The kit includes all the Smartcret system products needed for your surface and your square metres: you will find them detailed one by one, with their quantities, in the ‘Description’ tab below. You will also need a sealer roller, a polycarbonate trowel and basic protection and application tools. The microcement comes ready to use, already pigmented; only the final coat of varnish is mixed with its booster.

How do I choose the coverage?

Measure the surface to be covered: for walls, width × height of each section; for floors, worktops or furniture, length × width of each face. Subtract only large openings, add up the total and add a 10% margin. Choose the kit whose m² is equal to or greater than the result; if in doubt between two, go for the larger one. You can also use the calculator in the selector.

How long does the project take?

The full project takes 3 days. The varnish reaches full cure from 7 days.

Can I return or exchange the kit?

Yes: you have 14 days from delivery for exchanges and returns. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense and your order number is enough for us. See the full conditions.

Is it right for my surface?

Each kit is formulated for a specific project and surface: you will find it in the kit name and in the line with ✓ above the coverage selector. If your surface is different (for example, plasterboard instead of tiles), use the assistant at the top and we will take you to the right kit. First repair any loose piece, active crack or damp problem.

Description

What Is This Microcement Kit for Non-Absorbent Floors up to 8 m² — and What Does It Include?

No extra purchases and no last-minute doubts. A single mix — the varnish with its enhancer at the end. This microcement kit has everything you need to cover up to 8 m² of non-absorbent floors (terrazzo, tiles, marble, gres, porcelain…).

Every product in the kit is there for a reason: to prepare the surface, give the new floor structure, refine the texture and seal the colour so it can handle everyday traffic. From the very first coat to the final varnish, each layer works together to turn an old, joint-ridden floor into a seamless, modern, anti-slip and easy-to-clean surface.

There’s only one condition for a catalogue-worthy result: use the right tools. Trowels, rollers and spatulas made for microcement are essential to achieve a smooth, uniform finish. Using untested tools may affect the final appearance.

Tools are not included in this kit, but you can add the Smartcret tool set to your order to ensure a 100% professional finish for your DIY project.

Here’s everything you’ll find in the box to finally renovate the floor of your kitchen, living room, hallway or bedroom:

  • 1 × Smart Jointer (1.5 Kg): Fills and levels joints, leaving the surface smooth and ready.
  • 1 × Smart Primer PLUS (1 L): Primer for maximum adhesion on non-absorbent surfaces: terrazzo, marble, mosaic tiles, porcelain, ceramic tiles…
  • 1 × Smart Base (16 Kg): The first microcement layer. Ready-to-use, pigmented preparation microcement.
  • 1 × Smart Medio (8 Kg): Provides an elegant, more resistant, anti-slip texture. Ready-to-use, pre-coloured finishing microcement.
  • 1 × Smart Varnish (2 L): Water-based varnish (matt or satin) that seals the colour and protects against moisture, stains and wear.
  • 1 × Smart Booster (100 g): Boosts the chemical and mechanical resistance of the varnish.
  • 6 × Grit 40 sandpapers: For sanding Smart Jointer and Smart Base layers.
  • 10 × Grit 80 sandpapers: For refining the texture of Smart Medio.
  • 6 × Grit 400 sandpapers: For sanding the first varnish coats and achieving a perfect finish.

Additional information

Important Information for Your New Microcement Floor

Before you open the kit and dive into DIY mode, there are a few details that make the difference between a microcement floor that looks good… and one that looks incredible (and stays that way for years).

🧱 A solid, well-prepared substrate

Before applying microcement, inspect your floor carefully:

  • No cracks, chips or loose tiles.
  • If you find any, fill, level or repair them before starting.

Microcement copies exactly what lies beneath: if the substrate is damaged or unstable, cracks or marks may appear over time.

A perfect base is the first step towards a perfect result.

👣 Drying times and when you can walk on it

We know you’ll want to enjoy it straight away, but patience pays off:

  • The Smart Varnish + Smart Booster mix has a working time of around 24 hours.
  • Avoid walking on the floor for at least 48–72 hours after applying the varnish.
  • Ideally, let it cure for a full 7 days before normal use — that’s how long it takes for the varnish to reach maximum strength.

During the first week:

  • Avoid heels, heavy impacts and strong loads.
  • Remember: the floor is still “hardening from within”.

🪑 Furniture, chairs and dragging

Your new floor can handle daily use, but it doesn’t like rough treatment:

  • Don’t drag furniture directly across the microcement.
  • Add protective pads to the legs of chairs, tables, sofas and stools.

This prevents scratches and helps extend the life of the varnish.

🧽 Initial cleaning and maintenance

During the first 7 days, avoid mopping or using cleaning products — the varnish is still curing and needs to rest. If something spills, remove it gently and dry.

After the first week:

  • Clean with water and neutral soap. That’s all it needs.
  • Avoid bleach, ammonia, harsh cleaners, scouring pads or metal brushes — they can damage the finish.
  • Wipe up standing water as soon as possible. Occasional moisture is fine, but constant puddles aren’t.

🪶 Thin layers and a gentle sanding touch

With Smartcret, less is more:

  • Apply thin layers, exactly as shown in the guide. Adding more product doesn’t improve the result — it can actually make it worse.
  • Always respect the drying times between coats.
  • Sand with the correct grit at each stage and apply controlled pressure.
  • Keep your trowel at a 45° angle at all times.

A light, even sanding works magic on the final finish.

⚒️ Tools that make the difference

Tools matter — a lot:

  • Tools not tested by Smartcret may leave marks, “burn” the material or ruin the texture.
  • Tools are not included in this kit, but you can add the Smartcret tool kit to your order for an easy application and a professional-level finish.

By following these steps, your new microcement floor will stay beautiful, resistant and easy to maintain long after that first “wow” moment.

Pretty much any indoor floor that isn’t absorbent. If your current surface is terrazzo, marble, gres, ceramic tiles or porcelain tiles, this ready-to-use microcement kit for floors up to 8 m² is made for you. It adapts brilliantly to high-traffic areas of the home such as the kitchen, living room, bedroom, hallway, entrance or office.

And what about the bathroom? Absolutely. Especially if you want a slightly more textured, grippier finish than the one offered by Smart Liso (our finishing microcement for bathroom floors). In every case, you’ll get a seamless, modern surface that’s built to keep up with everyday life.

Application

How to Apply the 8 m² Microcement Kit for Terrazzo or Marble Floors: Step by Step

Your terrazzo or marble floor has been asking for a second chance for a while… and this ready-to-use microcement kit is exactly the “yes, let’s do it” it needed. With just a few thin, simple, 100% DIY-friendly layers, you’ll turn a floor full of joints into a seamless, modern surface that’s ready to show off. Here’s your roadmap:

1. Deep clean and inspect without fear

Remove dust, grease and everyday dirt. Check that no tiles are loose, cracked or uneven.

If they are, fix them now: microcement is noble, but it copies whatever is underneath. A great finish starts with a great base.

2. Joints out, new floor on the way

Use Smart Jointer to fill every joint until the whole surface is level. This step is pure magic: the joints disappear and the floor already starts to look continuous.

  • Let it dry for 24 hours.
  • Sand with grit 40.
  • Remove all dust.

A solid, well-prepared base saves you headaches later.

3. Primer that grips exactly as it should

Terrazzo, marble or tiles — it doesn’t matter: Smart Primer PLUS makes everything bond perfectly.

Apply it evenly with a roller and let it sit for 30 minutes. It’s the handshake between your old floor and your new one.

4. Build the base: the transformation begins

Time for Smart Base, the preparatory microcement that brings order to the surface.

  • Apply two thin coats (less than 1 mm).
  • Spread with Smart Roller, smooth with a trowel at 45°.
  • Let each coat dry for 6 hours.
  • Sand with grit 40.

Here the change becomes obvious: joints fade away, texture evens out, and the floor is ready to shine.

5. Smart Medio: the texture that makes the difference

Now comes the star of this kit: Smart Medio, the finishing microcement that brings body, durability and a refined, subtly anti-slip texture.

Apply it just like before:

  • Two coats, each under 0.5 mm.
  • Smart Roller + trowel.
  • Sand with grit 80 between coats.
  • 6 hours drying time between layers.

If it looked new before, now it looks like something straight out of a magazine.

6. Varnish & Booster: the final shield

Mix Smart Varnish + Smart Booster and protect your masterpiece. You’ll apply three coats, each with its own timing:

  • 4 hours drying between coats.
  • Light sanding with grit 400 after the first and second coat.

This sealing step is what turns a good finish into a durable, everyday-proof surface.

7. Curing: the part you don’t see, but you’ll definitely feel

Yes, you can walk on it gently after 48–72 hours, but full resistance is reached after 7 days. That’s when your microcement floor is at its best.

And that’s it. You + this microcement kit = a whole new space. No builders, no demolition, no noise… just style.

Once you see it finished, no one will believe there used to be terrazzo or marble underneath. Not even you.

See how it really works
