This solution is designed to renovate jointed surfaces (tiles, mosaic, floor tiles…) without removing them. Check these four points before choosing size and colour.

Compatible surface

Surfaces with stable joints: tiles, mosaic, floor tiles, terrazzo or marble. This is not the right kit for plaster, drywall or cement substrates.

Coverage

Measure the height × width of each surface. The calculator adds a 10% margin and recommends the right kit size, or a combination for larger projects.

What's included

Joint filler, primer, microcement base coats, finish, varnish, additive and sandpaper: the complete layer-by-layer system.

What you need separately

Sealer roller, polycarbonate trowel and basic tools. You can find them in microcement tools.

What’s included and what do I need separately?

The kit includes all the Smartcret system products needed for your surface and your square metres: you will find them detailed one by one, with their quantities, in the ‘Description’ tab below. You will also need a sealer roller, a polycarbonate trowel and basic protection and application tools. The microcement comes ready to use, already pigmented; only the final coat of varnish is mixed with its booster.

How do I choose the coverage?

Measure the surface to be covered: for walls, width × height of each section; for floors, worktops or furniture, length × width of each face. Subtract only large openings, add up the total and add a 10% margin. Choose the kit whose m² is equal to or greater than the result; if in doubt between two, go for the larger one. How long does the project take?

The full project takes 3 days. The varnish reaches full cure from 7 days.

Can I return or exchange the kit?

Yes: you have 15 days from receipt for exchanges and returns. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense and you will need the invoice to process it. See the full conditions.

Is it right for my surface?

Each kit is formulated for a specific project and surface: you will find it in the kit name and in the line with ✓ above the coverage selector. If your surface is different (for example, plasterboard instead of tiles), use the assistant at the top and we will take you to the right kit. First repair any loose piece, active crack or damp problem.

This microcement kit for bathroom floors is designed to cover up to 16 m² of annoying joints—yes, those you’ve grown tired of—and turn them into a seamless, resistant surface with a professional finish. No prior experience needed, no crazy tools—just your enthusiasm and the right materials.

- 2 × Smart Jointer 1.5 Kg: filler and levelling paste to cover joints between tiles and mosaics. Fast drying, high adhesion and water resistant.

- 2 × Smart Primer PLUS 1 L: water-based primer for perfect adhesion on non-absorbent surfaces like ceramics, marble, terrazzo or tiles.

- 2 × Smart Base 16 Kg: base microcement layer with thicker texture, designed to prep the surface for the final finish.

- 2 × Smart Liso (3 Kg + 6 Kg): pigmented finishing microcement with fine texture, offering a smooth and modern look.

- 2 × Smart Varnish 2 L: protective water-based varnish resistant to moisture, cleaning agents, abrasion and sunlight. Available in matte or satin finish.

- 2 × Smart Booster 100 g: hardening additive to boost varnish protection and durability.

- Sanding discs: to smooth each layer perfectly. Includes 12 grit 40 sheets for rough sanding, 20 grit 220 sheets for intermediate smoothing, and 12 grit 400 sheets for final finishing.

Note: Tools are not included. You can get our dedicated tool kit with everything you need: non-burning polycarbonate trowel, rollers, trays, protective tape, etc.

Application

How to apply the microcement kit for bathroom floors with joints like a pro for 16 m²

Got more square metres and more motivation? Perfect. Here’s how to turn 16 m² of annoying joints into a sleek, seamless surface. Ready? Let’s do this!

1. Start fresh: clean & protect

Clean the surface of dust, grease, and soap. Once dry, tape off the area to protect the edges. No surprises, no drama.

2. Joints, be gone with Smart Jointer

Use a trowel or spatula to fill every joint with Smart Jointer. Let it dry 24 h, then sand with 40-grit sandpaper. Bonus points if it’s smooth as a surfboard.

3. Prime for perfect grip

Roll on one layer of Smart Primer PLUS. This water-based primer ensures your microcement sticks like a pro. Dry time? 30 minutes—just enough for a coffee.

4. Build the base with Smart Base

Roll on a thin coat (<1 mm) vertically, then horizontally. Smooth with the polycarbonate trowel in gentle, sweeping motions. Apply two coats, letting each dry 6 h and sanding with 40 grit in between.

5. Finish strong with Smart Liso

Same steps, new product. Apply thin coats of Smart Liso, sanding between with 220 grit. Two coats total. Wait 24 h after the last one. Your bathroom’s already looking stylish!

6. Mix, shake, seal: Smart Varnish + Booster

Add Smart Booster to the varnish, shake gently and let it sit 5–10 minutes. Tape the edges. It’s like locking in your masterpiece.

7. Three layers of full-on protection

Apply the first coat, dry 4 h, sand with 400 grit. Repeat twice. Remember: varnish has a 24 h life. After 7 days, your floor will be ready for anything.

Important: keep your Smartcret trowel at a 45º angle. Only use Smartcret’s recommended tools. Manual sanding only—an electric sander could burn your finish.
