Renovating a large bathroom floor area does not have to turn into a long, expensive project full of rubble. With this ready-to-use microcement kit, you can transform up to 24 m² of bathroom floor on absorbent surfaces such as cement, concrete or mortar yourself, without removing the existing floor.

A solution designed for those who want to save time and reduce the cost of traditional building work, without giving up a professional-looking finish. Choose the colour, decide between a matt or satin finish, and create a seamless, non-slip, water-resistant floor that is beautiful and made to last.

Colour: swatches and NCS equivalences are indicative. The actual result may vary depending on your screen, the lighting of the space, the surface and the application.

Before you buy

Check if this kit is right for your bathroom

This solution is designed to renovate building substrates (cement, concrete, plaster or drywall). Check these four points before choosing size and colour.

Compatible surface

Building substrates: cement, concrete, plaster or drywall. This is not the right kit for tiled surfaces with joints.

Coverage

Measure the height × width of each surface. The calculator adds a 10% margin and recommends the right kit size, or a combination for larger projects.

What's included

Joint filler, primer, microcement base coats, finish, varnish, additive and sandpaper: the complete layer-by-layer system.

What you need separately

Sealer roller, polycarbonate trowel and basic tools. You can find them in microcement tools.

FREE shipping included in the price. Delivery times depend on your country; you will see the estimate at checkout.

Everything you need to know before you start

What’s included and what do I need separately?

The kit includes all the Smartcret system products needed for your surface and your square metres: you will find them detailed one by one, with their quantities, in the ‘Description’ tab below. You will also need a sealer roller, a polycarbonate trowel and basic protection and application tools. The microcement comes ready to use, already pigmented; only the final coat of varnish is mixed with its booster.

How do I choose the coverage?

Measure the surface to be covered: for walls, width × height of each section; for floors, worktops or furniture, length × width of each face. Subtract only large openings, add up the total and add a 10% margin. Choose the kit whose m² is equal to or greater than the result; if in doubt between two, go for the larger one. You can also use the calculator in the selector.

How long does the project take?

The full project takes 3 days. The varnish reaches full cure from 7 days.

Can I return or exchange the kit?

Yes: you have 15 days from receipt for exchanges and returns. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense and you will need the invoice to process it. See the full conditions.

Is it right for my surface?

Each kit is formulated for a specific project and surface: you will find it in the kit name and in the line with ✓ above the coverage selector. If your surface is different (for example, plasterboard instead of tiles), use the assistant at the top and we will take you to the right kit. First repair any loose piece, active crack or damp problem.

Description

Inside the 24 m² microcement kit for bathroom floors on absorbent surfaces: products, purpose and result

Inside the kit, you will find:

  • 3 Smart Primer ABS 1 L: water-based acrylic primer to prepare the absorbent substrate before applying the microcement.
  • 3 Smart Base 16 kg: ready-to-use preparation microcement. It helps even out the substrate and creates the base before the final finish.
  • 2 Smart Liso 3 kg and 6 kg: ready-to-use finishing microcement. It provides the chosen colour, the final texture and the seamless look of the floor.
  • 1 Smart Varnish 5 L: ready-to-use water-based polyurethane varnish. It seals and protects the microcement against daily use, cleaning and normal contact with water in the bathroom. Available in matt or satin finish.
  • 1 Smart Booster 250 g: component B added to the varnish to reinforce the final protection, improve hardness and increase resistance to chemical agents and abrasion.
  • Sandpaper discs: included to work the different layers throughout the process. You will find 18 discs of 40-grit sandpaper, 30 discs of 220-grit sandpaper and 18 discs of 400-grit sandpaper.

📌 For a more comfortable application and a more refined finish, complete your order with the Smartcret tool kit. It is not included in this kit, but it is highly recommended for applying microcement with greater precision, confidence and control.

Uses

Recommended uses of this kit

Choose this kit if you have a larger bathroom floor renovation ahead and want to complete it with a single system. Its 24 m² format is designed for projects where savings in time, building work and materials really start to make a difference.

It is ideal for large bathrooms, main bathrooms or several small bathrooms where you want a seamless, modern look with no visible joints.

It can be used on absorbent floors made of:

  • Cement.
  • Concrete.
  • Mortar.

If your current floor is made of tiles, stoneware, porcelain, marble or terrazzo, this is not the kit you need. For those surfaces, choose a kit for non-absorbent surfaces.

Application

How to apply this 24 m² kit with a clear plan, patience and a great result

When we talk about 24 m², we are talking about a renovation with real impact: more surface area, more visual continuity and more savings compared to traditional building work. The advantage is that you do not need to remove the existing floor or depend on a professional to achieve a carefully finished result.

This ready-to-use microcement kit is designed to help you transform your bathroom floor step by step, with a complete system that is easy to follow. You prepare the space, choose the colour and move forward with method. Smartcret provides the system.

1. First, organise your working area

Before opening any product, take a moment to prepare the area. Think about where you are going to start, how you are going to move forward and where your exit will be so you do not step on freshly worked areas. With 24 m², organising the order of application helps you stay in control and avoid unnecessary stops.

The floor must be clean, dry, firm, level and in good condition. Remove dust and dirt, and make sure there are no cracks, dents, loose areas or moisture coming from below. If the substrate has any issues, it is better to fix them first: microcement is a low-thickness decorative coating and needs a stable base to look its best.

2. Prepare the floor so everything works better

Apply an even coat of Smart Primer ABS over the absorbent surface. This primer helps improve the adhesion of the microcement and regulates the absorption of the floor, which is especially important on surfaces such as cement, concrete or mortar.

Leave it to dry for 30 minutes before continuing. It may seem like a simple step, but it prepares the surface so the following layers can be worked more easily and the system performs correctly.

3. Build a firm and even base

Now apply Smart Base in 2 thin coats. This stage gives body to the system, helps even out the substrate and leaves the floor ready for the final finish.

Leave 6 hours between coats and sand with 40-grit sandpaper. Work by sections with the Smart Roller, without overloading the product, and then smooth it with the trowel. On a large surface, thin and controlled coats are your best allies: they help prevent ridges, marks, irregularities and cracks.

4. Shape the finish you want to see

Once the base is ready, it is time for Smart Liso. This is the finishing microcement and the product responsible for the chosen colour, the final texture and that seamless look that completely changes the appearance of the floor.

Apply 2 thin coats, leave 6 hours between them and sand gently with 220-grit sandpaper. Here, it is important to pay attention to your movement, pressure and continuity between sections, because this is where the result really starts to look like the bathroom you had imagined.

5. Protect the result so you can enjoy it for longer

After 24 hours, mix Smart Booster with Smart Varnish and apply 3 coats of varnish, leaving 4 hours between coats. This final protection seals the microcement and reinforces its resistance to daily use, cleaning and normal contact with water in the bathroom.

Sand the first and second coats of varnish with 400-grit sandpaper before continuing. You can choose a matt or satin finish, depending on the style you want to achieve: more natural and discreet, or with an extra touch of light.

Avoid using the bathroom too soon. The varnish reaches its maximum performance after 7 days, so give it time for the final result to be properly protected.

Smart Tips so 24 m² do not win the game

✔️ Divide the surface before you start. Do not think about 24 m² all at once. Work by sections and move forward in order.

✔️ Have everything ready. Products, tools, sandpaper and the guide should be close to hand before you start. Stopping halfway through a coat never helps.

✔️ Watch the angle of the trowel. Keep it at an approximate 45º angle during application to control the product better, avoid marks and achieve a more even finish.

✔️ Thin coats, always. Applying too much material can create ridges, irregularities, cracks and areas with poorer drying.

✔️ Respect each grit. 40 grit for Smart Base, 220 grit for Smart Liso and 400 grit for the varnish. Avoid using an electric sander, as it can burn the microcement due to excess friction.

✔️ Do not rush the drying times. 30 minutes for the primer, 6 hours between microcement coats, 4 hours between varnish coats and 7 days for the final protection to reach its maximum performance.

Before you start, review the full guide and organise each stage properly. A large surface does not have to mean a difficult renovation when you know how to move forward.
