• 3 Smart Primer ABS 1 L: water-based acrylic primer designed to prepare absorbent surfaces such as plaster, drywall, cement, concrete or mortar. It helps improve system adhesion and regulate wall absorption before applying the microcement.
• 3 Smart Base 16 kg: ready-to-use preparation microcement, already pigmented. It is applied as a base coat to add body, even out the surface and create a solid structure before the final decorative finish.
• 3 Smart Liso — 2 x 6 kg and 1 x 3 kg: ready-to-use finishing microcement, also factory-coloured. Its finer texture helps create a smooth, seamless and decorative surface, with that modern look that gives kitchen walls real presence without the need for tiles.
• 1 Smart Varnish 5 L: water-based polyurethane varnish available in matt or satin finish. It seals and protects the coating against daily use, helping preserve the colour and appearance of the microcement.
• 1 Smart Booster 250 g: special component added to the varnish to reinforce the final protection in more demanding areas, such as backsplashes, front kitchen walls or zones exposed to steam, splashes and frequent cleaning.
• Sanding discs: included for manual sanding between coats. The kit includes different grits for each stage of the system: preparation, finishing and varnishing.

How to apply the 24 m² microcement kit for absorbent kitchen walls while keeping the finish under control

On a 24 m² surface, the key is not just applying the product — it is planning the work properly. Before you start, divide the kitchen into sections, prepare all the materials and decide the application order so you do not have to improvise halfway through.

The surface must be firm, dry, clean and free from grease, dust or poorly adhered paint. Repair cracks, joints or uneven areas before applying the system, and protect worktops, furniture, sockets, floors and edges with protective masking tape.

Once the area is ready, apply the Smartcret system in this order:

1. Prepare the surface with Smart Primer ABS

Apply the primer with a roller over the entire absorbent surface. It helps improve adhesion and regulate the absorption of plaster, drywall, cement, concrete or mortar walls. Leave to dry for 30 minutes.

2. Build the base with Smart Base

Apply two thin coats of Smart Base, spreading the product evenly and smoothing it with a polycarbonate trowel. Leave to dry for 6 hours between coats and sand manually with 40-grit sandpaper when required.

3. Define the finish with Smart Liso

Apply Smart Liso in thin coats to achieve a smoother, seamless and decorative surface. Always work in sections, keep steady pressure and avoid product build-up. Leave to dry for 6 hours between coats and sand by hand with 220-grit sandpaper.

4. Protect the surface with Smart Varnish and Smart Booster

Add Smart Booster to the varnish, mix well and apply 3 coats of Smart Varnish with a microfibre roller. Leave to dry for 4 hours between coats and sand manually with 400-grit sandpaper after the first and second coats.

For a more even result across 24 m², avoid overloading the surface with product, keep the same application method throughout and do not change technique from one section to another. On large surfaces, rushing shows: thin coats, manual sanding and proper drying times are what help you achieve a seamless, well-integrated finish.

You can choose a matt or satin finish depending on the style of your kitchen. Remember that the varnish reaches its maximum mechanical and chemical resistance from the seventh day after application is complete.
