Microcement kit for covering 24 m² of floors and stairs with visible grout lines, without lifting the existing surface or filling the house with rubble. It suits living rooms, dining rooms, home offices and bedrooms, and equally the treads of a staircase, where a seamless coating removes the edges and joints that used to outline every tile.

It is designed for tile, terrazzo, marble or stone slab. These are glazed surfaces: the face is closed and does not soak anything up, so the system starts with Smart Primer ABS, the primer meant for this case, followed by Smart Jointer to fill and level the grout lines. Only then do the microcement coats and the Smart Varnish final seal go on.

That preliminary step is what sets this kit apart from those built for porous surfaces, and what keeps the pattern of the joints from showing through again over time. It arrives ready to use, with no mixing and no pigments to work out, in 20 colours and two finishes, matte or satin. It withstands foot traffic, stains, everyday water and ambient humidity, not standing water, and reaches full performance after 7 days of curing.

Colour: swatches and NCS equivalences are indicative. The actual result may vary depending on your screen, the lighting of the space, the surface and the application.

Before you buy

Check if this kit is right for your bathroom

This solution is designed to renovate jointed surfaces (tiles, mosaic, floor tiles…) without removing them. Check these four points before choosing size and colour.

Compatible surface

Surfaces with stable joints: tiles, mosaic, floor tiles, terrazzo or marble. This is not the right kit for plaster, drywall or cement substrates.

Coverage

Measure the height × width of each surface. The calculator adds a 10% margin and recommends the right kit size, or a combination for larger projects.

What's included

Joint filler, primer, microcement base coats, finish, varnish, additive and sandpaper: the complete layer-by-layer system.

What you need separately

Sealer roller, polycarbonate trowel and basic tools. You can find them in microcement tools.

FREE shipping included in the price. Delivery times depend on your country; you will see the estimate at checkout.

Everything you need to know before you start

What’s included and what do I need separately?

The kit includes all the Smartcret system products needed for your surface and your square metres: you will find them detailed one by one, with their quantities, in the ‘Description’ tab below. You will also need a sealer roller, a polycarbonate trowel and basic protection and application tools. The microcement comes ready to use, already pigmented; only the final coat of varnish is mixed with its booster.

How do I choose the coverage?

Measure the surface to be covered: for walls, width × height of each section; for floors, worktops or furniture, length × width of each face. Subtract only large openings, add up the total and add a 10% margin. Choose the kit whose m² is equal to or greater than the result; if in doubt between two, go for the larger one. You can also use the calculator in the selector.

How long does the project take?

The full project takes 3 days. The varnish reaches full cure from 7 days.

Can I return or exchange the kit?

Yes: you have 14 days from delivery for exchanges and returns. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense and your order number is enough for us. See the full conditions.

Is it right for my surface?

Each kit is formulated for a specific project and surface: you will find it in the kit name and in the line with ✓ above the coverage selector. If your surface is different (for example, plasterboard instead of tiles), use the assistant at the top and we will take you to the right kit. First repair any loose piece, active crack or damp problem.

This kit covers 24 m² of floors and stairs in tile, terrazzo, marble or stone slab, without lifting the existing surface or generating rubble. These are glazed surfaces: the face is closed and does not soak anything up, so the system starts with the primer meant for this case and with filling and levelling the grout lines.

That preliminary step is what sets this kit apart from those built for porous surfaces, and what keeps the pattern of the joints from showing through again over time. It suits living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms and home offices, and equally the treads of a staircase.

  • 18 × 40-grit sandpapers: for sanding Smart Jointer and Smart Base layers.
  • 30 × 80-grit sandpapers: for smoothing Smart Medio layers.
  • 18 × 400-grit sandpapers: for refining the first varnish coats and achieving a flawless finish.

Additional information

Key considerations for a flawless renovation with our ready-to-use 24 m² microcement kit for tiled floors

On larger renovation projects like this one, planning matters just as much — if not more — than application. It’s what makes the difference between a good result… and a truly flawless one.

The following guidelines will help you achieve a smooth, durable and long-lasting finish with your new microcement floor.

🧱 The substrate: the foundation of everything

Before you begin, carefully check the condition of your existing tiled floor:

  • No cracks, chips, loose tiles or unstable areas. No damaged or weakened sections.
  • If you notice any irregularities, repair and level the surface before applying the system.

Across 24 m², even minor imperfections become visually amplified. Microcement reflects the surface beneath it. A solid, stable base is the key to a uniform finish throughout the entire space.

👣 Drying, curing and floor use

On larger projects, patience isn’t optional:

  • The Smart Varnish + Smart Booster mix has a working time of 24 hours. After this, it cannot be used.
  • Do not walk on the floor for at least 48–72 hours after applying the varnish.
  • Allow a full 7 days of curing before returning the room to normal use.

Even if the surface feels dry to the touch, the varnish continues to harden internally. Respecting these times is essential to achieve maximum durability and performance.

🪑 Furniture and foot traffic: protect your investment

Your new floor is designed for everyday life, but proper care prevents unnecessary damage:

  • Do not drag furniture directly across the microcement surface.
  • Use protective pads on chair, table and sofa legs.

In larger spaces, foot traffic is naturally higher. These small precautions significantly extend the life of the finish.

🧽 Cleaning and initial maintenance

During the first week, avoid mopping or using cleaning products, as the varnish is still curing.

After that:

  • Clean with water and a pH-neutral soap.
  • Avoid bleach, ammonia, abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads.
  • Do not allow standing water to remain on the surface for extended periods, as this may damage the finish.

Maintenance is straightforward — but consistency matters.

🪶 Application on large surfaces: thin coats and controlled sanding

On larger areas, consistency is key:

  • Apply thin coats following the interactive guide (maximum thicknesses are specified there).
  • Respect drying times between layers — rushing leads to problems.
  • Use the recommended grit sandpaper at each stage.
  • Keep the trowel at a 45° angle.

Uniform sanding without excessive pressure — particularly when using electric sanders — is what truly defines the final result.

⚒️ Approved tools matter

Tools specifically designed for microcement application are essential to prevent marks or “burning” on the surface.

This kit does not include tools such as the anti-burn trowel, but you can add the Smartcret tool kit to your order. Using non-approved accessories may compromise the final result (for which we cannot accept responsibility).

🎯 Final result

Follow these recommendations and your new microcement floor will maintain its flawless appearance for many years to come.

Uses

Where can you use this 24 m² microcement kit for tiled floors?

This kit is designed for larger spaces where the floor plays a central visual role. It’s ideal when you want to renovate extensive areas in one go, especially over non-absorbent surfaces such as terrazzo, marble, porcelain, stoneware or tiled floors with visible grout lines.

It works particularly well in:

  • Large living and dining areas.
  • Full office spaces or professional studios.
  • Spacious bedrooms, including kids’ and teen rooms.
  • Living rooms and playrooms with high foot traffic.

The system allows you to cover the entire surface without breaks or transitions, creating a seamless, uniform finish built to handle heavy daily use.

What about bathrooms? It can also be applied to bathroom floors if you’re looking for a slightly more textured finish than Smart Liso (our dedicated system for bathroom flooring).

The result is a modern, grout-free surface that completely transforms larger rooms and maintains its stability and performance over time.

Application

How to apply your 24 m² microcement diy kit for terrazzo or marble floors: step by step (no surprises)

If you’re renovating 24 m², the key isn’t speed — it’s consistency from start to finish. Thin layers, proper drying times and the right tools. The technique stays the same; consistency is what makes the difference.

Here’s the process, no shortcuts.

1. Preparation: on large surfaces, everything shows

Before opening the first container:

  • Sweep and clean thoroughly.
  • Remove grease, dust and any built-up residue.
  • Check for loose tiles, cracks or uneven areas.

Across 24 m², even small imperfections become visible. If something isn’t right, fix it now. The substrate determines the final result.

2. Smart Jointer: level first, build from there

  • Fill all grout lines.
  • Allow to dry for 24 hours.
  • Sand with 40-grit sandpaper.
  • Remove all dust.

This is where uniformity begins. Grout lines stop dictating the look of the floor and the surface starts to feel cohesive.

3. Smart Primer PLUS: secure adhesion

  • Apply one even coat using a roller.
  • Wait approximately 30 minutes before continuing.

This step ensures proper adhesion over terrazzo, marble or tiled surfaces. On larger areas, consistent bonding is essential.

4. Smart Base: consistency across every metre

  • Apply two thin coats (under 1 mm each).
  • Spread with the Smart Roller and smooth with the trowel at a 45° angle.
  • Allow 6 hours drying time between coats.
  • Sand with 40-grit between layers.

At this stage, the floor’s overall uniformity is established. Maintain steady pressure and rhythm throughout the space.

5. Smart Medio: texture and durability

  • Apply two thin coats (under 0.5 mm each).
  • Use roller and trowel as before.
  • Allow 6 hours between coats.
  • Lightly sand with 80-grit sandpaper.

The result is a seamless surface with more grip, designed to handle frequent traffic in larger rooms.

6. Smart Varnish + Booster: full-surface protection

  • Mix both components together.
  • Apply 3 coats with a roller.
  • Wait 4 hours between coats.
  • Lightly sand with 400-grit after the first and second coats.

This is where the floor gains resistance to stains, moisture and heavy use. Matte or satin — the choice is yours.

7. Curing: patience pays off

  • Light foot traffic after 48–72 hours.
  • Normal use after 7 days.

Across 24 m², respecting curing times is even more important. The system needs this time to reach full hardness and performance.

Fully renewed surface. No demolition. No breaks. No transitions. One continuous plane that completely transforms the room.
