This solution is designed to renovate jointed surfaces (tiles, mosaic, floor tiles…) without removing them. Check these four points before choosing size and colour.

Compatible surface

Surfaces with stable joints: tiles, mosaic, floor tiles, terrazzo or marble. This is not the right kit for plaster, drywall or cement substrates.

Coverage

Measure the height × width of each surface. The calculator adds a 10% margin and recommends the right kit size, or a combination for larger projects.

Everything you need to know before you start

What’s included and what do I need separately?

The kit includes all the Smartcret system products needed for your surface and your square metres: you will find them detailed one by one, with their quantities, in the ‘Description’ tab below. You will also need a sealer roller, a polycarbonate trowel and basic protection and application tools. The microcement comes ready to use, already pigmented; only the final coat of varnish is mixed with its booster.

How do I choose the coverage?

Measure the surface to be covered: for walls, width × height of each section; for floors, worktops or furniture, length × width of each face. Subtract only large openings, add up the total and add a 10% margin. Choose the kit whose m² is equal to or greater than the result; if in doubt between two, go for the larger one. You can also use the calculator in the selector.

How long does the project take?

The full project takes 3 days. The varnish reaches full cure from 7 days.

Can I return or exchange the kit?

Yes: you have 14 days from delivery for exchanges and returns. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense and your order number is enough for us. See the full conditions.

Is it right for my surface?

Each kit is formulated for a specific project and surface: you will find it in the kit name and in the line with ✓ above the coverage selector. If your surface is different (for example, plasterboard instead of tiles), use the assistant at the top and we will take you to the right kit. First repair any loose piece, active crack or damp problem.

What will you find in the microcement kit for bathroom floors with joints of 4 m²?

When space is tight, your materials need to go the extra mile. This microcement kit includes everything you need to transform 4 m² of tiled flooring into a bathroom worthy of a magazine cover.

- 1 x Smart Jointer (1.5 Kg): filler putty to level and fill joints between tiles and similar surfaces. Strong adhesion and quick drying. Also resistant to water and humidity.

- 1 x Smart Primer PLUS (0.5 L): water-based primer that ensures proper adhesion of the microcement on non-absorbent surfaces like tiles, marble or mosaic.

- 1 x Smart Base (8 Kg): ready-to-use base microcement, already coloured, with thicker texture. It evens and covers the substrate before the final finish.

- 1 x Smart Liso (3 Kg): ready-to-use finishing microcement, pigmented and with finer texture for a smooth, modern and professional result.

- 1 x Smart Varnish (1 L): water-based varnish that seals and protects against scratches, humidity, cleaning agents and daily wear. Available in matt or satin finish.

- 1 x Smart Booster (50 g): hardener to mix with the varnish for extra resistance against bathroom chemicals and abrasion.

- Sanding discs: essential for a smooth, burr-free finish. 3 discs of grit 40, 5 discs of grit 220, and 3 discs of grit 400.

Good materials matter – but so do the right tools! We recommend our separate tool kit (not included), with everything you need: heat-resistant polycarbonate trowel, rollers, masking tape and other essential accessories.

Application

How to apply (without stress) the microcement kit for jointed bathroom floors for 4 m²

Mini space? Super easy application! This kit is designed so you can transform your small, joint-filled bathroom floor on your own with a bit of skill.

Here’s the step-by-step to take your bathroom from “meh” to “wow” in no time—no pros needed.

1. Clean and tape like a pro

Remove dirt, grease and product residues. Once dry, mask off the areas you don’t want to coat with adhesive tape. No surprises.

2. Goodbye joints

Use a spatula or trowel to apply Smart Jointer over all the joints. Let it dry for 24h and sand with 40 grit. The smoother the surface, the better the finish.

3. Primer is your best friend

Apply Smart Primer PLUS with a roller. It ensures adhesion of the microcement to non-absorbent surfaces like tiles, gresite or marble. Let it dry for 30 minutes.

4. Let the transformation begin

Apply a thin layer of Smart Base (<1 mm) with the Smart Roller. Smooth it with the polycarbonate trowel using soft motions. Apply 2 coats, 6 h between each, sanding with 40 grit.

5. Finish with flair

Repeat the process with Smart Liso: thin coat, gentle smoothing and sanding with 220 grit. Apply 2 coats, waiting 6h between them. Wait 24h after the last coat before sealing.

6. Seal and shine your mini bathroom

Mix Smart Booster with Smart Varnish, stir gently and let it sit 5–10 min. Mask edges with tape. Apply 3 coats, drying 4 h between each. Sand the first and second coats with 400 grit. After 7 days, it’ll be fully cured and fabulous.

*Important: Use the Smartcret trowel at a 45° angle to avoid marks. Sanding discs are for manual use only. Electric sanders can burn the surface with too much pressure.
