This solution is designed to renovate jointed surfaces (tiles, mosaic, floor tiles…) without removing them. Check these four points before choosing size and colour.

Compatible surface

Surfaces with stable joints: tiles, mosaic, floor tiles, terrazzo or marble. This is not the right kit for plaster, drywall or cement substrates.

Coverage

Measure the height × width of each surface. The calculator adds a 10% margin and recommends the right kit size, or a combination for larger projects.

What you need separately

What’s included and what do I need separately?

The kit includes all the Smartcret system products needed for your surface and your square metres: you will find them detailed one by one, with their quantities, in the ‘Description’ tab below. You will also need a sealer roller, a polycarbonate trowel and basic protection and application tools. The microcement comes ready to use, already pigmented; only the final coat of varnish is mixed with its booster.

How do I choose the coverage?

Measure the surface to be covered: for walls, width × height of each section; for floors, worktops or furniture, length × width of each face. Subtract only large openings, add up the total and add a 10% margin. Choose the kit whose m² is equal to or greater than the result; if in doubt between two, go for the larger one. How long does the project take?

The full project takes 3 days. The varnish reaches full cure from 7 days.

Can I return or exchange the kit?

Yes: you have 15 days from receipt for exchanges and returns. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense and you will need the invoice to process it. See the full conditions.

Is it right for my surface?

Each kit is formulated for a specific project and surface: you will find it in the kit name and in the line with ✓ above the coverage selector. If your surface is different (for example, plasterboard instead of tiles), use the assistant at the top and we will take you to the right kit. First repair any loose piece, active crack or damp problem.

Formulated to be applied directly over tiles, ceramics, terrazzo or marble, it includes 100% professional products that are designed for you to achieve an outstanding finish all by yourself.

What’s the difference? It’s all in the details: from the primer that grips like it should, to the sandpapers tailored to each step. Everything calculated to leave you with motivation to spare – and no room for excuses:

6 × Smart Jointer (1.5 Kg): our joint filler. Because if there are tiles or grout lines, this is where the magic begins.
6 × Smart Primer PLUS (1L): all-purpose, water-based primer that ensures proper adhesion of the microcement on non-absorbent surfaces.
6 × Smart Base (16 Kg): pigmented preparation microcement, with strength and body. This is where the real transformation begins.
3 × Smart Medio (16 Kg): ready-to-use finishing microcement. More robust, made for high-traffic areas like your kitchen floor that need extra durability.
2 × Smart Varnish ( L): water-based varnish that protects from oil splashes, food stains or coffee. Available in matte and satin finish.
2 × Smart Booster (250 g): the essential additive that maximises the chemical resistance of the varnish.
36 × 40-grit sandpapers: for the first sanding phase – both for Smart Jointer and Smart Base. This is when the change starts to take shape.
60 × 80-grit sandpapers: to sand between coats of Smart Medio. Gentle on the material, powerful on the finish.
36 × 400-grit sandpapers: for the final sanding of the varnish. Because every detail counts.

And what about the tools? They’re not included in this kit – but they’re just as essential to get a flawless result. That’s why we recommend our full application set: heat-resistant trowel, Smart Roller, tape, tray and other tools that make the difference between a “this looks nice” and a “wow, I actually did this!”

How to apply the microcement kit for kitchen floors for 48 m² with joints

Ready to give your kitchen a total makeover? With this 48 m² kit, change kicks in from the very first step. No building work, no weird mixes, no impossible tools. Just you, your large jointed kitchen floor, and a whole lot of motivation to transform it.

1. Clean the floor and mark your territory

Bye-bye grease, dust, construction residue or leftovers from past dinners. Your big kitchen floor needs to be clean and dry. Then it’s time to say goodbye to joints too: fill them in with Smart Jointer. Extra tip: use masking tape to clearly define the working area and avoid surprises during application.

2. Primer: let it grip properly

Use a roller to apply a uniform coat of Smart Primer PLUS. It’s the perfect base to make sure everything that comes next sticks like it should. Let it dry for around 30 minutes, then carry on.

3. Smart Base: goodbye joints, hello smoothness

Stir well and apply 2 thin coats of Smart Base (less than 1 mm) with a trowel. Smooth it out carefully and always work at a 45° angle. Wait 6 hours between coats and sand with 40 grit sandpaper. You’ll already start to see the difference.

4. Smart Medio: texture and style in every stroke

Apply 2 coats of Smart Medio (less than 0.5 mm) to achieve that silky finish straight out of a magazine. Same method: trowel, 45°, 6 h drying between coats and sand with 80 grit. Your kitchen floor is already starting to shine.

5. Smart Varnish + Smart Booster: protective shield activated

Protect your work with 3 coats of Smart Varnish (previously mixed with Smart Booster for maximum resistance). Let each layer dry for 4 hours, sand the first and second coats with 400 grit, and after 7 days of curing… your kitchen floor will be ready for ANYTHING.

*Important: As mentioned before, correct application of Smartcret microcement requires holding the trowel at a 45° angle. A different angle may affect the final look. Also, using a trowel other than the one included in our tool kit can alter the result. The included sandpaper is for manual sanding only. Using an electric sander may burn the material due to excessive pressure.
