This solution is designed to renovate jointed surfaces (tiles, mosaic, floor tiles…) without removing them. Check these four points before choosing size and colour.

Compatible surface

Surfaces with stable joints: tiles, mosaic, floor tiles, terrazzo or marble. This is not the right kit for plaster, drywall or cement substrates.

Coverage

Measure the height × width of each surface. The calculator adds a 10% margin and recommends the right kit size, or a combination for larger projects.

What's included

What you need separately

What’s included and what do I need separately?

The kit includes all the Smartcret system products needed for your surface and your square metres: you will find them detailed one by one, with their quantities, in the ‘Description’ tab below. You will also need a sealer roller, a polycarbonate trowel and basic protection and application tools. The microcement comes ready to use, already pigmented; only the final coat of varnish is mixed with its booster.

How do I choose the coverage?

Measure the surface to be covered: for walls, width × height of each section; for floors, worktops or furniture, length × width of each face. Subtract only large openings, add up the total and add a 10% margin. Choose the kit whose m² is equal to or greater than the result; if in doubt between two, go for the larger one. How long does the project take?

The full project takes 3 days. The varnish reaches full cure from 7 days.

Can I return or exchange the kit?

Yes: you have 15 days from receipt for exchanges and returns. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense and you will need the invoice to process it. See the full conditions.

Is it right for my surface?

Each kit is formulated for a specific project and surface: you will find it in the kit name and in the line with ✓ above the coverage selector. If your surface is different (for example, plasterboard instead of tiles), use the assistant at the top and we will take you to the right kit. First repair any loose piece, active crack or damp problem.

What’s included in the 24 m² microcement kit for tiled stairs?

Big stairs call for big transformations. This ready-to-use microcement kit is designed to cover up to 24 m² of steps tiled with ceramic, marble, terrazzo or porcelain… and turn them into a continuous, safe surface with a style that lifts the whole space.

No need for building work or pulling up a single tile — just a gain in design, function and comfort. Here's what's inside the kit:

3 Smart Jointer 1.5 Kg – to fill joints and create a smooth, even base.
3 Smart Primer Plus 1 L – primer that ensures perfect grip on non-absorbent surfaces.
3 Smart Base 16 Kg – base microcement to add body and strength.
3 Smart Medio 8 Kg – finishing microcement with a fine, non-slip texture.
1 Smart Varnish 5 L – water-based varnish to protect the final surface.
1 Smart Booster 250 g – to boost the varnish’s durability and chemical resistance.
Included sanding sheets: 18 (grit 40), 30 (grit 80), and 18 (grit 400).

Application

Application of Mega Microcement Kit for Kitchens, Bathrooms and Showers - Covers 24 m² of Non-Absorbent Surfaces

Clean and degrease the surface. Once dry, tape off the area where the microcement will be applied.
Apply 1 layer of Smart Jointer to fill the grout joints and leave the surface seamless. Let the product dry for 24 hours. Then, sand with a 40-grit sandpaper until the surface is completely smooth.
Prepare the surface for treatment. Use a roller to apply a coat of Smart Primer PLUS. Let it dry for 30 minutes.
Wet the Smart Roller with Smart Base and spread the microcement thinly (less than 1 mm) vertically and then horizontally over the surface. Smooth it out with the polycarbonate trowel in arching and multi-directional movements. Repeat this process until the surface is completely covered and smooth. Allow 6 hours of drying time between layers and sand after each layer with a 40-grit sandpaper to ensure there are no burrs. Apply a total of 2 layers of Smart Base.
Repeat the same process with Smart Liso. Use the Smart Roller and polycarbonate trowel to spread the microcement thinly (less than 0.5 mm) until the surface is covered. Allow 6 hours of drying time between layers and sand after each layer with a 220-grit sandpaper. Remove the tape after application. Apply a total of 2 layers of Smart Liso. Let it dry for 24 hours after the last layer.
Add the Smart Booster to the Smart Varnish container. Gently shake the container manually for a few minutes. While the mixture rests, apply tape to the necessary areas. Let the mixture sit for 5-10 minutes.
Once the Smart Varnish mixture is ready, apply the first coat. The mixture has a shelf life of 24 hours, allowing it to be used for the second and third coats. Each coat should dry for 4 hours. Once the final coat is dry, remove the tape. Remember to sand the first and second coats with a 400-grit sandpaper. The total curing time for the varnish is 7 days to achieve maximum performance.

*Important: to achieve an optimal finish, it is essential to keep the trowel at a 45º during application. Not following this technique may affect the final result. For an optimum result, you have to get it right from the start. Using the right tools, such as our anti-scald trowel, can make all the difference aesthetically, as using other trowels could burn the product. That's why we recommend you buy our tool kit which includes this trowel.

As for the sandpapers included in this kit, they are designed for manual sanding. If an electric sander is used, excessive pressure may damage the microcement and affect its finish.
