This solution is designed to renovate jointed surfaces (tiles, mosaic, floor tiles…) without removing them. Check these four points before choosing size and colour.

Compatible surface

Surfaces with stable joints: tiles, mosaic, floor tiles, terrazzo or marble. This is not the right kit for plaster, drywall or cement substrates.

Coverage

Measure the height × width of each surface. The calculator adds a 10% margin and recommends the right kit size, or a combination for larger projects.

What's included

Joint filler, primer, microcement base coats, finish, varnish, additive and sandpaper: the complete layer-by-layer system.

What you need separately

Sealer roller, polycarbonate trowel and basic tools. You can find them in microcement tools.

What’s included and what do I need separately?

The kit includes all the Smartcret system products needed for your surface and your square metres: you will find them detailed one by one, with their quantities, in the ‘Description’ tab below. You will also need a sealer roller, a polycarbonate trowel and basic protection and application tools. The microcement comes ready to use, already pigmented; only the final coat of varnish is mixed with its booster.

How do I choose the coverage?

Measure the surface to be covered: for walls, width × height of each section; for floors, worktops or furniture, length × width of each face. Subtract only large openings, add up the total and add a 10% margin. Choose the kit whose m² is equal to or greater than the result; if in doubt between two, go for the larger one. How long does the project take?

The full project takes 3 days. The varnish reaches full cure from 7 days.

Can I return or exchange the kit?

Yes: you have 15 days from receipt for exchanges and returns. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense and you will need the invoice to process it. See the full conditions.

Is it right for my surface?

Each kit is formulated for a specific project and surface: you will find it in the kit name and in the line with ✓ above the coverage selector. If your surface is different (for example, plasterboard instead of tiles), use the assistant at the top and we will take you to the right kit. First repair any loose piece, active crack or damp problem.

Everything! This ready-to-use microcement kit is packed with all you need to cover 4 m² of tiled stairs, terrazzo, or surfaces that have clearly seen better days.

From the joint filler to the final varnish—because applying microcement isn’t just about doing it, it’s about doing it right. And with style. Here’s what’s inside:

1 Smart Jointer 1.5 Kg: to fill tile joints and create a smooth, even base.
1 Smart Primer Plus 0.5 L: primer that ensures strong adhesion on non-absorbent stair surfaces.
1 Smart Base 8 Kg: preparation microcement for body, grip and initial colour.
1 Smart Medio 4 Kg: finishing microcement with a seamless, anti-slip texture.
1 Smart Varnish 1 L: water-based varnish that seals and protects—matt or satin, you choose
1 Smart Booster 50 g: mix it into the varnish for added hardness and chemical resistance.
Sanding papers: 3× grit 40, 5× grit 80 and 3× grit 400.

How to coat your 4 m² tiled stairs with this microcement kit

A small staircase can make a big impact. And this microcement kit has everything you need to transform your tiled steps into a modern, seamless and non-slip structure—all by yourself. No demolition, no noise, no stress.

Perfect for stairs tiled with porcelain, terrazzo, ceramic and more. Just pick your favourite colour, fire up your ultimate playlist and turn each step into a style statement.

Here's the step-by-step guide to getting your tiled stairs looking flawless with our ready-to-use microcement:

1. Prep the surface

Start with a deep clean: dust, grease, silicone residue… everything must go. Make sure all tiles are solid and your steps are stable and level.

2. Hide those joints, smooth it all out

Apply Smart Jointer to fill visible joints and get a continuous base. Let it dry for at least 24 hours, then gently sand with 40-grit paper.

3. Prime time

Apply one layer of Smart Primer Plus. It ensures proper bonding between the surface and the microcement. Let it dry for 30 minutes.

4. Build your base

Apply two thin coats of Smart Base. Spread it with the Smart Roller, then smooth with a trowel at a 45° angle. Allow 6 hours between coats and sand each layer with 40-grit paper to get it nice and even.

5. Time to finish: your stairs deserve it

Now it’s Smart Medio’s moment to shine. Apply two fine coats, waiting 6 hours between each. Sand both with 80-grit paper. The result? A seamless, anti-slip texture with real visual impact.

6. Seal it in: long-lasting protection

Mix Smart Varnish with Smart Booster and apply three coats. Allow 4 hours of drying time between coats, and sand the first and second with 400-grit paper. Choose between a matte or satin finish. You’re in control!

✔️ Thin layers, always: more product doesn’t mean better. Microcement works best in small doses.
✔️ Hand-sanding, no rush: skip the power sander—it could burn the surface. Feel the texture with your own hands.
✔️ Want to go the extra mile? Our polycarbonate trowel (sold separately) is your best friend: no scratches, no burning, ultra-smooth finish.
✔️ Looks great, but also safe: the anti-slip texture is perfect for rushing up in socks. Just give the varnish 7 days to reach full strength—then step on up!
