For 18 m² of wall or fireplace in plasterboard, plaster or cement. These are porous surfaces: the primer soaks in and anchors without a bonding coat.

It is a lighter system than the bathroom one: no Smart Base and no Booster, because a dry wall takes neither water nor abrasion. Three thin coats of Smart Liso and the varnish on top. The other sizes are in microcement for walls.

Everything you need to know before you start

What’s included and what do I need separately?

The kit includes all the Smartcret system products needed for your surface and your square metres: you will find them detailed one by one, with their quantities, in the ‘Description’ tab below. You will also need a sealer roller, a polycarbonate trowel and basic protection and application tools. The microcement comes ready to use, already pigmented; only the final coat of varnish is mixed with its booster.

How do I choose the coverage?

Measure the surface to be covered: for walls, width × height of each section; for floors, worktops or furniture, length × width of each face. Subtract only large openings, add up the total and add a 10% margin. Choose the kit whose m² is equal to or greater than the result; if in doubt between two, go for the larger one. How long does the project take?

The full project takes 3 days. The varnish reaches full cure from 7 days.

Can I return or exchange the kit?

Yes: you have 14 days from delivery for exchanges and returns. Return shipping is at the customer’s expense and your order number is enough for us. See the full conditions.

What the Super Microcement Kit 18 m² · walls and fireplaces · plasterboard or cement contains

The Super Microcement Kit, ready to use and already coloured, covers 18 m² and brings together the materials needed to renew interior walls and fireplaces.

Professional-quality products for vertical porous surfaces: plasterboard, plaster, cement, concrete and mortar.

The 18 m² Super Microcement Kit for walls and fireplaces contains:

  • 2 Smart Primer ABS 1 L + 1 Smart Primer ABS 0,5 L: water-based acrylic primer. It aids adhesion between the surface and the microcement and regulates the behaviour of porous surfaces so that consumption is even.
  • 3 Smart Liso 6 kg: ready-to-use microcement, pigmented in the shade chosen by the customer. Its finely grained texture gives a soft, smooth finish that is silky to the touch.
  • 2 Smart Varnish 2 L: water-based polyurethane varnish. Ready to use, it seals and protects the microcement against traffic, water and so on. It also has the particular quality of bringing out the colour of the surface. Available in matt and satin.
  • Sanding discs: you will find 18 grit 220 discs and 9 grit 400 discs.

The tools are not included in this kit. For an optimal result you will need rollers, a tray, protective masking tape, a sanding glove and a polycarbonate trowel, all available in the Smartcret tool kit.

Application

Application of the Super Microcement Kit for Walls - Covers 18 m²

  1. Ensure the area is free from cracks, dents, or similar imperfections. Once checked and/or repaired if necessary, make sure it is clean and grease-free. When completely dry, it is advisable to mark the boundaries of the area to be treated with masking tape.
  2. Prepare the surface for treatment. Use a roller to apply a layer of Smart Primer ABS, making sure to shake the product before use. Let it dry for 30 minutes.
  3. Application of microcement. Spread a thin layer of Smart Liso (less than 0.5 mm) over the entire surface with the Smart Roller, starting vertically first and then horizontally. Next, use the trowel at a 45º angle to smooth the surface with arcing movements in various directions until it is completely smooth. Allow each layer to dry for at least 6 hours and sand with 220-grit sandpaper after each layer has dried. Apply a total of 3 layers of Smart Liso. Finally, carefully remove the masking tape and we recommend letting the surface rest for 24 hours after the last application for best results.
  4. Reapply the masking tape and apply 3 layers of Smart Varnish with a roller. Remove the masking tape immediately after application or after it is completely dry. Allow 4 hours of drying time between layers. Sand the first and second layers with 400 grit sandpaper. Finally, to ensure perfect curing, let it dry for 7 days.
  5. *Important: to avoid defects in the application of Smartcret microcement, our trowel should be used at an angle of 45º, as marks may appear on the walls if it is applied with another angle and another trowel. Likewise, using an electric sander to sand the layers may burn the microcement on the walls due to excessive friction. The sandpaper grits included in this kit are designed for manual sanding.
