Microcement kits for kitchen floors

Because the substrate is absorbent there are no joints to fill, but the pore does need sealing: the kit includes Smart Primer so the floor does not absorb the material unevenly. On top go the thin coats of base and finishing microcement, sanding between passes, and it is closed with Smart Varnish reinforced with Smart Booster, which is what gives the resistance to grease, food stains and the daily cleaning of a kitchen.

The floor finish carries a fine anti-slip texture, something that matters more than it seems in a kitchen. Available in 20 colours and in a matte or satin finish, with formats by square metre so you only pay for the metres you are renovating. Allow the 7 days of curing before normal use, even if it feels dry to the touch.

I found this product because I was so sick of cleaning tile grout. I wanted the Tadelakt look without spending $$$. The process takes time but the result was worth it. Only use the plastic trowel — a metal one leaves black marks. The Smartcret team was very helpful. I love my new shower and get so many compliments on it!
